Not only for those who need higher current. If that cell has a really low volt drop you can get more
vaping time out of it than you would a lower current same mAh 18650 cell even at lower power settings.
Our usable capacity is what's over the low Voltage cutoff so it's more important how much of the capacity is in that space than the total capacity itself.
Eg if you compare the cell test linked above to the vtc6 you'll see it has about 500mAh more than the vtc6 at the lowest tested discharge (10A) over 3.2V, both being rated at 3000mAh.
