Hey guys! I'm having a problem. To start, I have a nitecore i2 intellicharger. I just received two Samsung 25r battery's, and I immediately put them on the charger. After a few hours(3.5-4) I checked them and they only had the first light on, and the second blinking. I pulled them off and they were warm to the touch. Can you tell me why this is happening? Are they over-charging? What should I do? Thanks.

I have that charger. It's taken about 6 hours for charging batteries that were brand new from shops like vapordna or eciggity. My batteries never got hot charging though. You could try cleaning the contacts on the charger. Just wiping them off could help. I do that every week usually. I like keeping my stuff clean and well maintained to keep working as it did on day 1.

The i2 has reverse battery protection. I use 25Rs on the same charger and they've definitely taken a good 4 hours on an initial charge, but none of my batteries have ever gotten more than just slightly warm. Unfortunately, I've got no suggestions aside from making sure you confirm their authenticity.

Where did you get them (the batteries) from? Please don't say Ebay or Amazon...

Also, the i2 only does 0.5A charging so it will take a while for the batteries to charge. However, it shouldn't take 8 hours...
Don't worry lol, I got the battery's from ecigcity.com in an IPV 3 li bundle. And my Sony vtc 4's and 5's only take around 3 hours to charge.

I'll try that, thanks for that advice! :)

Well, I'll give it another shot. I believe the retailer I got them from is pretty reputable, though. Thank you! :)

Do they have three posts securing the positive contact? Like below:

I'm not sure who's responsible for this blog, but I found this post to be incredibly comprehensive. If you live in a country where a label needs to be applied, I recommend peeling one off in order to check them out.

Is it a fake 18650 battery? (Featuring the Samsung 25R) – 18650 Battery | BATTERY BRO

[EDIT] I second the recommendation to check the voltage. If they came completely drained, that's a bad thing.
Mine appear to checkout as authentic. Thanks again

The VTC4/5s only taking 3 hours to completely charge sounds a bit suspicious as well. Are they old and possibly down some capacity? On both my Nitecore D2, and my Xtar MC2, all my batteries take about 4-5 hours to charge back up from around 3.2v which is where my Sigelei cuts them off.
