I live in Santa Cruz California and it's beautiful. I live so close to the beach and love taking my dog to the beach every day. His name is groot and he's a Datsun min pin mix. It seems like the only time he is truly free and happy is at our favorite beach. I've got a problem now though. I take my vaping setup with me when I go. There's nothing like body surfing for 20 minutes and then taking a couple deep drags on my subox. Every week or so I drop my subox in the sand and it gets everywhere... into my drip tips and into the air flow holes in my tanks. I've "ruined" 3 kanger subtsnk Nanos and a kanger mini this way. SAnd is deep and I mean deep in the tanks and they're not hitting right. .. I'm hardly getting any vapor from them. I'm afraid to clean them because I think I'll ruin them with water. My question is how do I clean the inside of these tanks. There's got to be done way right! ?
Thanks in advance. I feel kind of stupid asking this question. I love e cig forum and have leaned ssi much here.

All of mine break down into at least 4 pieces (drip tip, glass, atty, and the chimney) I just rinse mine off with warm water and set them out to dry, pop in a new coil head, and she is good to go! I would also bet that sand is way worse for them than water is since you already run a liquid through it in the form of vg/pg

Wash them in vodka.
Yes, vodka is the second best after pure alcohol. But my hart bleeds for unwisely spent drink...
You should absolutely clean your tanks every so often.
Why? I do not clean my tanks. Of course I do not have sand problem.

EDIT: I use only slightly flavored juices, so no problems with mixing flavors when refilling.

I take my tanks apart and just rinse the parts in flowing hot water every time I change coils. Then shake them out dry the metal parts with a paper towel then put it back together with a new coil and refill. You could also rinse in distilled water if you want. I don't dry the glass it's just water :)

Personal preference I suppose?
Maybe I should have said, it won't hurt anything to clean them.
And your right, wasted drink is a sad thing.
Use pure alcohol.
