I need to clean all my tips to end this bacterial bronchitis. I want to avoid boiling to not damage the rubber rings. Will regular over the counter rubbing alcohol do the trick?

Just slide the o ring out small flat head driver will work then boil I just use reg old dish soap and water my self !
In band we use mouth wash for our mouth pieces. Nothing harmful and you let it sit for 1min then good. Rinse off dry then good stuff to go.
Many good ideas above. I guess my Vodka soak I use for my Protank head cleaning would do the trick also. I like the mouthwash thing though !!
No need to boil. I 2nd the rubbing alcohol. very cheep and very effective at getting the nasty things dead.
I clean my main ones at the end of the week, or every few days depending on usage. Use an o-ring pick to pry out the o-rings, toss them in some boiling water, and leave them for an hour or two.
If you want to avoid boiling water, you can mix some lemon, baking soda, and water. A local Hookah lounge used to do this to clean their hoses. You will get a lemon taste after the first drag but that should fade away quickly.
