I got a 2 pack of the new sapphire bud cartos from gotvapes. The first one I tried stopped wicking almost immediately so I thought I would take it apart. I found it is basically a 510 atomizer with the spike like an ego-t with a permanent tank on it.

I removed the tank, pulled out the plate and spike to expose the coil, dremeled out the airflow channel of the tank, and shortened the tube. It hits pretty well for a 2.4 ohm atty.

Not a huge accomplishment but turns something that doesn't work into a $3 atty.

I did this with a few I had because they muted the flavor too much and had a very stiff draw...vapes like a champ now.

Modding for dripping is the absolute best use for these...considering they're not that good as-is. They can hold 5 or 6 drops at a time and won't leak. The draw can tighten a little after a while but that's the only "issue" I've noticed. I just cut through below the plug with a scalpel to open it up for dripping and leave it that way with no tip. The body of the tube collects vapor condensate so it doesn't dull the flavor off the coil like with standard attys. Pop it off the connector easily, wipe out the condensate, and keep on going...great flavor and performance every time. Better and cheaper than using a 510.
