I got 4 boxes of Saphires today. Took one out of the box filled it up with 40% VG/60%PG and it is working perfectly without any modifications or fuss. What voltage/device are you using? Try adding some distilled water to your juice. 100% VG may not look thick but it is a lot thicker than PG. I believe the Saphires were designed for use with juices that are maybe 20% VG 80% PG. I running these at 5.8 W / 3.7 V 1.6 amps on my Darwin. The one I have on there right now is 2.3 Ohms so these are meant to be used at 3.2-3.7V and I strongly suspect running these higher will cause the juice to burn on the wick and dry hits. I have not had to do anything special i.e. take a draw without firing the atty to get the one I am using to wick. It has been wicking perfectly even with back-to-back vaping. I just filled it a 3rd time tonight and have been vaping like a chimney! I LOVE the latest batch of Saphires!!!!!

I'm having the same issue with 2 sapphires from different packs. One I'm using with 100% PG juice on a V3 @ 3.7v, the other my wife was using with her 100% VG Ultrapure on a BB at 3.7V. With both there is nothing but the burnt plastic taste. The same thing happened with my first order but I pushed through hoping it was a bad batch. Out of the the 8 I've ordered, 2 have worked ok (not great), 4 have all started out burnt tasting and 2 haven't been tested yet; and I'm a little reluctant to waste the juice.

I've had a similar experience. Of the 4 I bought, 3 had a plasticky burnt taste from the start and the other was great for about 1/2 tank and then started to taste burnt (though not plasticky). It's really frustrating because I love the design and the ease of filling and I know from the brief good experience I had just how good they can be. I'm not prepared to order any more just yet but I'm hoping they improve them over time.

I've only used standard ego batteries. If the consistency can be improved they'll be a winner. Forgot to say - I used GV choc strawberry in all 4 - probably should have tried some different juices. I also had a shocking headache after vaping them so I don't think that plastic taste agreed with me. In 18 months of vaping I've never had a headache.

I'm vaping 100% VG through my Sapphires these days with zero burnt taste. I'm sorry to hear you guys/gals are having problems. After multiple fills one of my Sapphires was starting to get consistent dry hits when back to back vaping but soaking the atomizer (separated from the tube, but with the wick still attached) in hot water took care of the problem (works at least as good as new). I haven't witnessed the burnt plastic taste; I don't know where it would come from since the atomizer is enclosed in metal. I also haven't had any headaches ???

Loving my GV Bud Sapphires :) I do prefer to vape them at 3.2V for the flavor, though. 4.2V seems to be too much for these

A couple of things. With the Saphire I find that taking a slow easy draw is best. This is different than how I vaped other cartos. I also install the Saphire so that the air intake hole is in one of the notches on the 510-510 extender I am using on my Darwin so there is good air flow as I think this is important to how these work.

to be quite honest I concur on the 3.2v flavor combo...
