I just bought a sigelei 100 and only had used mvp before so I was used to .8-1.5 ohms, while getting this device at a new shop the guys helped me with a build they suggested dual 26 gauge .3 ohms which I am pretty new to things that low. So far the only things I can vape good are vg only. I'm also using mutation x rda and can only use 100% vg such as virgin vapors which is amazing but any kind of pg tends to kill my throat with a nasty throat sensation. I also can get good vapes around 15-18 watts any more is way too much. Also I am getting a disgusting flavor with my usual juices such as mothers milk, custards, vanillas,etc. and I cannot figure out why I played with the airflow but even with them closed off well they still have bad throat feeling and absolutely no flavor. I was trying space jam just now but can't compare to the virgin vapor 100% vg. With that I am getting the perfect vape but am running low and want to know why I am only getting satisfied from 100%vg. Even the flavor is better with the vg and more clean if this makes any sense. I get a bold subtle nothing taste from my usuals..

Sounds to me like the guys at your local shop took you from the wading pool and through you off the high dive board with no swimming lessons. That's a pretty big jump and I would guess you were not ready for it. You should be able get a bit of flavor back by moving more to the other side. Build a coil closer to what you are used to and cut back the airflow a bit. You can step your way into the high dive area, no reason to drowned getting dropped there.
I agree with Mccannch, even though it doesn't seem like a big difference from .8 to .3, in actuality, there is a big difference. I would recommend doing about .6 ohms. All of the coils I build for the wife are around .6ish. Using 26 gauge and a 2.0mm bit or screwdriver, I would do 6 wraps and you should enjoy that and have all the flavors back and not so much throat hit. Best of luck.
There's no point in using sub ohm coils on a regulated mod. 15-18 watts are 15-18 watts whatever your resistance is, and the thicker wire you use for a .3 ohm coil will take longer to heat up and cool down. With higher resistance you'll also get more surface area.
When I wake up tomorrow I will definitely do a higher build. I appreciate the advice guys, I like the 26 gauge. Have Dual now 6 wraps at .3 so I guess I'll try the single coil versus the double and up the resistance. Also I think I just prefer the vg all in all. Much smoother, still getting somewhat throat hit from 12 mg nic, and have no issues what so ever
I could also just take one of the coils out and that would bring me to .6 I believe so I can try that now
