Hey ecf,

MY STORY!!

So I've been clean from smoking for almost 2 years now and i'm happy! My techy nerd side has made vaping a serious hobby of mine and i own to many devices haha, but that isn't really why my wife is going to kill me.

It's because i'm going threw 15-20ml of ejuice a day, I know some of you are thinking BAH thats nothing but still 120ml a week in my TCT is pissing my wife off and she's like this is worse then smoking! I tried to explain "babe this is for my health!" her response is [edited] your health  this is costing us $70 a week! She's kidding about the health [hopefully] but not the money!

So here is how you guys can save my life, i checked out heartlandvapes, and WOW surprisingly this is my first time hearing about them and wanted to see if anyone has just straight out bought their pre-made ejuices not the DIY kits and if their flavors are good to vape right away?

My favorite e-juice is a not to rich but a creamy strawberry with a slight menthol hit, so i saw Strawberries & Cream for $64.99 1000ml and Menthol 250ml for $34.99, would you guys recommend this approach? I'd just bottle the 2 flavors and mix them to my menthol preference. This would last me 2-3 months for under $100.00 which would make my wife very happy and less deadly!

The best way to save money on ejuice is make your own -- mine has some pretty pricey ingredients, and I use a LOT of flavor for my comatose tastebuds, but still can be made for 10 cents a ml. Those who use less costly flavors, or use less flavor, can make theirs for less than a nickel per ml.

My wife feels having a lab anywhere in our house with nic. and the required ingredients is to much for our children that run around and wether i agree with her or not a happy wife is a happy life.. [husband] so instead of putting me further into the dog house i'm trying to make sure to still save money and enjoy vaping on an extreme budget.

Smoking Ciggs was cheaper honestly, $5.00 a pack 3 packs a week $15.00 vs $70.00 a week.

First and foremost I'd spend more than that for good health, being healthy is something you just can't put a price on.

That said what are you vaping? I mean are you a hardcore subohm user? I use up about 90-100ml a month. I don't "toodle puff" but I'm not vaping .1ohm coils either unless it's a TC build.

Either way smokes in my area are up to 12.75 a pack, 12.75 at let's say a pack a day equals 89.25 you're already above 70 bucks a week. Mind you I live in NYC and your prices are more than likely below my state's prices. But I'd rather pay 100 bucks a week than go back to smoking and cough up half a lung every morning.

You don't need to buy 1000ml of diy flavoring, you can get smaller bottles of flavoring and some menthol and make those big batches, it'll save you a ton of money and you only really need a small percentage of flavoring to make up a bottle of juice. Remember there are other components such as nicotine (optional), vg and pg. Also I'd highly recommend mixing alot of smaller 30ml bottles and making smaller batches than one huge batch. It steeps better this way. You're in the right forum at least you'll be able to learn and ask questions here, lots of information. Be careful if you're handling raw nicotine, research, research and then research some more before you jump into anything.

haha after 10 years of marriage we say some crazy stuff to each other !

While it is an Ex marriage now, at 8 years, my ex and I knew each other well enough to be able to Translate The Look in word for word what was being thought. 'Course, her and I were quite a bit alike too.

There was Often a "I know what you're thinking" look and the Zip It sign across the lips between Both of us.

You may find that in the last 2 years cigs have taken a serious bump, I bought a pack of Mavericks for my wife last night, $8.66. Differs, of course, from state to state.
I also have kids, from 7-19, I buy my nic at 36 mg, not too dangerous to have and I keep it in a locked cabinet (not for safety, the older kids might steal it!)
good luck!

This pricing is for premixed to your nic level?

I'd say do it...

Personally I DIY but you mentioned not wanting to do that...this option sounds like a good alternative for you and just might keep you out of the doghouse ;)

Just a little FYI for you though...my DIY creamy menthol and my strawberry clouds homebrews cost me about 3 cents per ml to make

1250 ml would cost me less than $40 to make

I vape OneHitWonder Milk Man and i'm using my TCT tank by SMOK which is 0.15 nickel coil head. I only Sub Ohm, can't stand anything above 0.5.

Also its not DIY flavoring its 1000ml of 3 Nic 20 PG 80 VG Strawberries and Cream Ejuice.

Nice! i wish i had a friend in the SoCal area (Torrance, CA) that could teach me how to mix ejuices, i just don't trust myself even when watching it on youtube lol i'd seriously make 2,000ml batch and just vape on it for the year lol

I think I would try a smaller quantity first. . . . strawberries and cream and even menthol can vary dramatically from one juice vendor to the next. Hate to see you buy that much liquid and hate it.
Thats what i was thinking.. Mt. Baker is my other option.... Hawk Sauce isn't that bad and for 234ml for $30.00 its not horrible... but wanted something cheaper but to my preferred enjoyment.

You could always 1) increase you nic level, and thereby vape less; 2) go to a "tootle puff" device that doesn't positively DRINK ejuice; my Achilles RDA uses maybe 5ml per day. Cigarettes don't produce all that much smoke; there's really no reason to have to fog up the entire house just to vape. Frankly I'm surprised she's not annoyed by THAT -- my husband would be. If I happen to blow one of my wispy 85%-PG clouds in front of the TV, he starts waving his arms around like a maniANTZ. Using those super-duper-sub-ohm devices is what wastes ejuice -- someone around here likened it to ordering the most expensive liquor a bar offers... and then pouring half of it down your shirt to show how cool you are.

I dont' drink anymore.. but when I did, be damned if I was gonna waste ANY of it, it was going INTO MY MOUTH!

Never have seen the need for all that excessive cloud-making. It's wasteful, and that offends me -- all I need is enough throat hit, and a little bit of something to blow out that's roughly commensurate with what I exhaled when I smoked.

I also don't see the need for 500%-markup retail ejuice; even the cheapest is probably 200%-markup. I understand the problems of children's grabby hands, but aren't there a lot of other products in your home that should be out of reach of kids? Kids have to be taught -- some things just aren't touchable. Trying to kid-proof your home to such an extent that YOU are living in a sterile isolation ward isn't really a good way to teach them what 'don't touch' means.

No reason why your idea of taking two pre-made juices and mixing them yourself wouldn't work. I do this with a coffee and a pumpkin spice that I like because I can't find one juice that does it for me. Just buy a small amount, try it out, figure out your ratio (AND WRITE IT DOWN) and then order your stuff by the ton! :D

You might want to grab a few empty smaller bottles too if you take juice to work or whatever. . . or reuse the ones you already have, I just wash them out and re-use them for my mixes.

Everyone is different. Me, I do not want any throat hit but like to feel of a warm vape. With more vapor I also feel it in my lungs which to me is what I was looking to replace when quitting smokes.
