Does ejuice Me Up automatically update?

I wanted to make some juice tonight, & when I clicked <file> <open> all of my recipes were gone & were replaced by a much longer list of strange recipes.

The list begins with 555 My555, then proceeds in alphabetical order without my saved recipes.

Fortunately I have them saved elsewhere, but What Have I Done Wrong?

I created a new folder in Documents with the e juice me up. Then when I want to save a recipe I select that folder to save it in. If I want to make a recipe from the folder, same deal select the folder and click open.

The recipes you found are the ones that come with the calculator.

Thanks, I'll do that.
Funny how I never saw those recipes before though, only mine were visible.

I just went into C:\Program Files (x86)\Breaktru Software\eJuice Me Up and removed all the recipes that I didn't want (2 copy's with different file extensions .rec and .rec2), left all the other files and replaced them with all my own. You just have to backup save your mixes in a separate folder cause when you update the program it fills all up again with the other recipes but does keep your mixes. If you update the program just remove all the files but the eJuice Me Up.exe and replace with the saved files you have. You don't have to keep all the .txt files since so far for me they are the same from ejuicemeup version to version except the update_history text file.

Hey, when the folder opens next time, click on date tab to change the order of the recipes by date. Click that only once or twice as it will then change the order. Make sure the most recent date is on top as those will be the ones you made and saved. Hope that makes it easier for you.
That may just help @Ablonz. Where again is that date tab?

@KentA When you click on open you will see a pop up window with all the recipes listed. If you look up top of that window, you will see boxes. I think they will be name, date, and I think type. The box that says date, just click on the word date and you will see the list change.
Thanks for trying Ablonz. Unfortunately date is not among the boxes on this edition.
I did add another folder into the listed recipes with the hope they survive in the calculator.
They were saved in a word document, it's just a nuisance to have to fill in all the values again & perhaps again....

    No you can't
Does eJuice Me Up automatically update?

I've been using ejuice me up for years nothing else I came across works as good for me.

No it doesn't auto save - you have either save with the same file name or a new one. I resave my file with the date at the beginning this way I can always look back at any changes or how much liquid I've used in a given time.
    20151014 then file name
Year month day (use a zero for single number months 09 = Sept same for the day of the month 1 =01/5=05/ 10=10)
You could add this date to end of your files to alphabet them tough I prefer dating the list. Simply because I mix few flavors. You could make a directory for Tabaco, candy, fruit etc and save you're files to them. just a suggestion.

Also it will save to the location of your choosing and look where you tell it to.

Look in the program file and see if your recipes are there.

My Computer - Program Files - Breaktru Software - ejuice me up

If they are there you may need to change the file ext to .rec, they are the only files that show up when using the open file selection in the program.

eta: All my recipes began with the same letter of the alphabet, that way they are all together.

    They are there AzPlumber!
    But I cannot open them.
What do you mean I "may need to change the file ext to .rec"?

P.S. I like your idea of starting all my recipes with an A.

What is the file ext. on your recipes now? The file ext. is the 3 or 4 letters/numbers on the end after the . (dot)

eta: They will only open through the program

I'm not literate enough to know where to find the "file ext. is the 3 or 4 letters/numbers on the end after the . (dot)"
    Sorry.
I did find "type of file: REC File" & it should open with adobe 7.0 which I have & it doesn't.

No problem, I'll see if I can help. The file ext. should be shown at the end of the file name. You may have to change the "view" to see the file ext. What operating system is your computer running?

I changed the view in view menu but didn't find see any latter / numbers or even a "."
I must be looking in the wrong place.
I did discover that the work I saved tonight in a new folder also disappeared. The folder is there, but it's empty again.
    I'm still running XP.

Thanks for the help everyone. I'm going to bed.

    Ahh, Good Morning,
I now have it set for view: "details".
If it matters, this is the relatively new version of eJuice Me Up with the measure by weight grams column.

Good morning/afternoon, when you are looking at the files through "My Computer" do you see a file ext. on any of the files. Again the file ext. is at the end of the file name.
