I was stopped at a light on my drive home at work (vaping, of course) and noticed someone in the car next to me trying to get my attention. I looked over and a couple (I'm assuming) saluted me with their PVs and blew some big clouds. I never see other vapers in NJ other than my husband and my buddy that got me into vaping. So, it made my day!

So, if you are reading this and you happened to engage a redhead driving a black Challenger in Cranbury, NJ today, that was me and HI! :)

For a long time, I didn't see anyone out with pvs. I've started seeing them a bit more frequently now that you can't smoke inside bars or restaurants anymore. It's nice not to be the only one. I mostly see ego sized e-cigs, so my bigger provari still gets some looks and questions, but mostly people just want to try it out, which I'm more than happy to let them. (with a spare drip tip, obviously!)

You know, you brought up a good point. I'm sort of a work-a-holic / recluse these days. I'm mostly in my house or at the office, so I'm not seeing what the bar crowd (or society at large, really) is into. At work though (a couple thousand people work on my campus) nobody ever knows what it is. Maybe I'm assuming all of NJ is lame based on my company. Lol, not very fair of me.

God, I really need to get a life.

My memory is not so great these days but I'm pretty sure I was not in Illinois yesterday...... and I'm pretty sure I would have made it a point to smoke you. :2cool:

I have seen a few folks vaping in the wild here in Jacksonville, mostly in vape shops. But then I started a new job this week, and there are vapers galore there! I was surprised to see more than one or two, there has to be at least 25 - 30 vapers in my department alone! Needless to say, I feel quite at home! The company has a covered are for smokers, and I think the vapers out number them 2 to 1. Almost everyone that I have talked to say that vaping has gotten and kept them off analogs.

Some day I will spot one.

So, to everybody, if one day you are minding your own business and some freak throws themself into your arms weeping, it's probably just me.

Aside from the handful of friends that I've converted I'll see someone using a Blu or Logic occasionally, but that's about it.

Most people who see me using my PVs think I'm a druggie. Actually been pulled over for it. The worst people tho are those who see the vapor, assume its smoke and start doing the fake coughs and/or start complaining about how bad the "smoke" smells and how disgusting it is...

My sister does that and it drives me nuts. I don't know how you can possibly think the smell of delightful mango lassi (or whatever fancy flavor I'm vaping that day) smells ANYTHING like a cigarette. My husband still smokes, and I'm quite certain they smell nothing alike. People are strange.

lol! That's great, the only time I see others seems to be at the vapor bar when I'm trying some new juice. I hope everyone feels like banding together like that.

I really wish these were more popular around here too!! Seems to be there are a few in my state but not close enough that they aren't a half day trip. I gotta put it on my list. I know one just opened in Manhattan. I should make plans!

Wow that's amazing!

give it a few months, you will see them spread like wild fire. When I used cig-a-likes in LA 3 years ago, people looked at me like I had the plague.

Now, 3 years later, they are everywhere, and the B&Ms are sometimes just a few blocks from each other. There are 2 on Melrose within 3 blocks of each other and new ones popping up all the time. Now when people see me rolling with a mod, I get nods and smiles and one women in a Ralph's (grocery store) gave me a high five for vaping in the produce section.

I almost fear to say that vaping is just about to be "cool" in California. I was at a B&M in Venice a week ago (on it's 2nd or 3rd day of being open) and it had more adorably cute women in it than the bar across the street. All of them vaping away on high end mechs or provaris, all of them looking adorable through their clouds of vapor. A new vape bar opened in Manhattan (SoHo) and apparently it's packed every night.

IMHO, vaping has arrived and is about to explode in the mainstream.

There's been a lot more people vaping lately at the plant where I work; the number has probably doubled in the past 6 months. I'd guess there's about 10 vapers in my area alone. Most of them buy their stuff at the local B&Ms.

There are four vape shops here in my small city: Electronic Stix, Gourmet Vapor, Riverwalk Vapor and one other that I forgot the name of. All of them seem to do a steady business.

I'd guess that a lot of the new vapers made the switch to save money, given the current state of the economy.
