Saying hello from Manchester

Hi all,
thought I should introduce myself. This morning I had the idea that I would find out these electronic cigarettes were all about. I had never even heard of vaping! I've had a long and interesting day researching online. See I've had this dilemma of being a heavy smoker for 10 years, losing my grandma and my mum to smoking and yet I still couldn't quit. The problem was I love smoking, if only there was a healthier way to smoke....having been and bought some nicolites this afternoon and not touched the remainder of my pack of analogs since, I'm amazed! I consider myself fairly tech savvy, now I feel like I've been living under a rock! I love the taste of vaping and even after a huge meal this evening, I wanted to vape not to smoke! It seems like a huge and fascinating, albeit confusing world of vaping but I'm defintely looking forward to the ride. Thanks for this great forum, I've found the info here very helpful

Thanks for the welcome, battery just died on it, can't say I like the fact that it just stopped working like that, without any real warning, not great if I was out and about, don't want to get into buying spares for nicolites as I can see me moving to another brand anyway. I just initially went with some I could buy in the supermarket to try it out. Seems like this is all a learning curve :)

Hi Ellen... a fellow newbie Brit here! :)

Congrats on quitting. I too started on Nicolites, from my local shop. At just under £7, I just thought 'why not?' After a day or two smoking AND vaping, I never got round to buying a replacement pack of ciggies (and as any smoker knows, you ALWAYS get round to replacing your ciggies!).

I got myself an Innokin AIO (all in one) kit, and I love it. It is enough like a cigarette to get round all the psychological stuff, and very covenient, with the charging box and everything. I went for the black 'cig' with blue LED, rather than the white with orange 'filter' as I guessed it would be easier to vape in public without dirty looks...

Good morning all, when I got up this morning, being a heavy smoker I need an intense nicotine hit in the morning. I was debating whether to have an analog first. I decided to vape instead, but was worried that my cartomiser may be low, just for the psychological benefit I put a new cartomiser on, so that I knew I was defintely getting maximum nicotine and now the desire for the analog has passed. I had one analog last night when my battery died and it was nasty. So hopefully I can get through the day just vaping and my few analogs will be left untouched. For now at least I'm vaping purely to keep myself off the analogs, but the fact that I could tie in quitting smoking with an exciting new hobby in the future defintely appeals to me :)

Welcome Ellen. I'm from the UK too. There are many of us around.

I agree with Chrissie about an ego. I bought one sceptically purely cause I hated cartos and the ego has me truly hooked. Got a cute pink batt from totally wicked e-liq and health cabin have some good stuff if you can wait.

Liquid wise I love paradise vapes I owe them for becoming a true vaper as much as the ego.

Welcome again. Have fun and happy vaping!
