I vape more than I used to smoke. I don't count it by nicotine. I am a hand to mouth addict. I'd rather vape than shove food in my mouth. Vaping is different with the flavors we can choose from. When I wake in the morning, I want tobacco. Then I switch to sweet flavors and intermix tobacco for the remainder of my day. I have batteries all over the house with different flavors. I switch flavors throughout the day at work.

Like others have said, don't think about what the disposables are being branded as. Nicotine delivery is much different between vaping and cigarettes.

Ok so update and more newbie questions that I am sure have been answered 1000 times before, but after much research I am even more confused than before!
So I am currently out of my home country and ran out of cartridges for my nicolite cigrette. SO I bought an eRoll and 10ml of 9mg liquid. (I much prefer my nicolites by the way but this is all have to work with for now).
So apparently one full cartridge in my eroll is 0.4ml of liquid. The last few days I have vaped about 2-3 full cartridges worth per day. Now after a little research it seems that my cartridge is the equivalent to 10 cigarettes of average strength nicotine. SO to my dismay I am smoking the equivalent to 30 cigarettes a day of nictone! No wonder I am getting more addicted to this stuff. For sure I am puffing more than I would do a cigarette and I think it's because I'm telling myself it's fine... but after doing a bit more research I am genuinely concerned that I have gone from a light smoker to a 30 a dayer!

I'd say while I'm probably more addicted to nicotine now than when I was on cigs, I'm not addicted to any of the other garbage in cigs. I don't think I'd have nearly as much trouble putting down my PV for good as I did when I stopped cold turkey the few times. But at least with ecigs, you can cut back your nicotine deliberately.

It seems most people ignore that Nicotine is just one alkaloid of tobacco. Its not the only addictive alkaloid of the plant. WTA e-liquids help to show this.

But I do know I haven't felt the head change that accompanies the first cig of a day once on my PVs. Not that I mind this, but it just shows how completely different the two acts really are.

While it sounds stupid, e-hookah is way more fitting classification than e-cig. But for the sake of convenience...

i used to puff on a stinky stick and knock off 1.5 PAD.. felt horrible, always tired.. always sick feeling.. woke up just dying for that next "fix".. then i switched to vaping.. i vape on average 2-4 mils a day.. all are 12mg or less. i have 24mg juice and when i use that. i feel sick again.. so i am slowly but surely killing the addiction to the nicotine. as for smoking / vaping variances.. you cannot compare. the Blu companies and gas statioin companies want you to buy the product so a good sales line is. hey.. buy this one cartridge at 2.50 and its equivelant to a pack... well that is just not true.. Vape until you feel satisfied.. if you are worried about nicotine intake drop the nic levels. other than that. do research here in the forums and i am sure you will feel better about your questions..

It all depends on how you vape. I found that during my down time at home, dripping is the most efficient way to vape if you want to conserve juice. You drip 3 drops into your atomizer, through the drip tip, let sit for a moment to prime, then start vaping. Go from there. A drop here, two drops there, get up, do something, two drops in the atty, 4 drags, 2 more drops, 4 more drags. More like "smoking". Carts and tanks are good for out and about and driving.

I had to use a tank and ego twist variable voltage to actually give me something satisfying enough to quit cigarettes, I feel like I vape more than I smoke, but its different i will hit my PV maybe two or three times and then put it down and pick it back up 10 or 15 minutes later and take a couple more hits where as a cigarette I would smoke one probably hitting it 10-12 times and then smoke again in an hour, and most of the times when i am vaping I will hit it 2-3 tiome every 10-15 min for about 45min and then I will stop for an 1-1.5 hours... everyone is different do what you feel is satisfying your cravings and its much much much better than smoking analogs

I think I am becoming more addicted to the vaping itself than the actual nic. Maybe I just need 0 nictone and then I can do it till my hearts content and save the nictone strength liquid for when I REALLY need it. Otherwise (whilst not as dangerous) I am just replacing one addiction with another one! Can I assume that vaping 0 strength is completely harmless?

Nicotine itself depending on who you ask isn't really considered harmful when kept below overdose ranges. Certain people believe it can higher chances of cancer etc, but most believe that it has been linked to it simply because the other chemicals in cigarettes (tar, and the other 4000 horrible toxins) they put in them have carcinogenic properties. I personally believe that people only blame nicotine because it is one of the things in cigarettes. Cigarettes are linked to cancer, therefore nicotine must be too. I don't buy that. I looked up on google to try and see if I could find anything to help explain what I mean and I came across this blog, I don't know who wrote it but maybe it will help http://www.blog.modernvapor.com/vaping-news-and-insights/what-is-nicotine-and-is-it-harmful.htm.

Honestly, I would say, if vaping is allowing you to get off the things that are for sure known to cause cancer, then vape away. If you are concerned about the nicotine that much, taper yourself down, but be proud of yourself for not using analogs anymore.

No. No. No.
You are assuming the advertising is truthful. It is NOT!!
First of all, vaporized nicotine is not absorbed as efficiently by your body as nicotine contained in smoke. The molicules are totally different. so just because a cartomizer CONTAINS 0.4 mg nicotine does not mean that your body has absorbed that.

I smoked 7-10 cigarettes per day. Today I vape about 2 ml of ejuice @24 mg. This does NOT mean that my body has taken in 48 mg of nicotine. Yikes. That would be WAY too much.

So. Relax. Enjoy your new cigarette-free life. Vape on.

I vaped 1-2 mls when using an 808 cart. I now vape 3-4 mls with a twist and mini Vivi nova. I did notice the increased nic for the first day so I ordered some 12-16 mg juice to replace my normal 18mg. I was using the 18 off and on for a year. I have read reports on blood tests that show even with 24mg juice chain vaped that you only get a small amount of nic compared to a pack a day smoker. My own experience is, no matter how much I vape I have no negative effects, not even to blood pressure which nic can elevate. I also never get nic headaches even if I chain vape 18 on a long car ride.

I remember reading that when vaping the way a person inhales makes a difference, and that because of the different size in the molecules itsn't absorbed as well by the lungs, but is absorbed well in a persons mouth and nasal passage (I think this was in the newbie sticky's but I may be wrong).

I didn't read all the posts but I'm very sure it has been said...but the marketing gimmicks of mainly disposable ecig vendors are completely wrong! No way in the hot place that a blu disposable is worth even a pack of cigs let alone the multiple packs that some claim from one disposable. I've sampled blu and njoy disposables and at most they equal 6 smokes, and that's being generous. The beautiful thing about ecigs is that if you are like me and enjoy the act of smoking you can control how much nic you take in. I was a two pack a day smoker due the daily long hours in the car and boredom, thankfully I never felt the "nic fit" that many do. I quit in 4 days, starting with 18mg and now I'm still vaping as much...10+ml a day at 0-6mg after 6 months! I love "smoking"...just now I'm not killing myself as I do it.
