I've had my SB for a while now, and it's been the best thing I've ever vaped from... but it seems to be losing something, I'm not sure what, but it's just not the same as when it was new. I've thought about tearing it up and giving it a good cleaning, I've also considered replacing it. New attys and batteries just don't seem to give me what I used to get from it either.

Since I've own this, I see the Alpha and the Omega, but I know nothing about them. Because of how well my SB has been over the past 19 months or so, I trust altsmokes products, so I figure I'll stay within their products... and I already have all the batteries and atomizers their products use.

Would changing it up to the Alpha or Omega be a wise choice, or should I just go with another SB?

Depends. If you use a wide tank or something that's as wide as the SB, then you won't like the Omega. The firing pin is top-mounted, so you depress the top cap to make battery contact. If you have a carto-tank or something like that ontop of it, you'd need a spacer to get your finger in there to push down on the top...unless you want to push down on your tank.

If, like me, you use standard width cartos, an omega would do you some good. New toy to play with and all of that. It's the same general size and uses the same batteries as the SB, so you've already got most of the stuff for it.

The Alpha is a 14500 mod, decently smaller than the Omega/SB, there's a picture of them side-by-side somewhere... I have an Alpha, love it to death. I have callouses on my fingers from the top-firing though, right around where they were from the good ol' bic.

Best of luck!

I dont use tanks, I'm happy with a standard 510 or 901 atty to drip in. I've considered using a tank, but I've found 3-4 drops into an atty gives me about the same pleasure as one analog does, if I had a tank that wouldn't stop me, I'd probably never put the thing down, lol.

Well, I have to make an unexpected trip to Ohio this month for a court date so I can try and get my daughter back from her evil manipulative mother (unfortunately a ways away from the alt smoke shop), So that's going to potentially suck up most of my monthly freedom funds... maybe I'll buy myself one in the beginning of December as an early Christmas present or hopefully a successful court hearing in my favor gift :)

I have two SB's. An original Silver Bullet and most recently the Purple Silver Bullet. I also have an original OMeGa and 3 of the wood box mod Phidias. I use my Purple SB all the time. I have a nice Bronze & Violet Magma tank on it. I can go a couple days on a full tank. More if I actually have to work at work :D. If it was me, I'd just get another SB and see about cleaning up the old one. It can never hurt to have a back up for the back up. :)

It just sounds like you need a new toy. Sometimes you can get bored with the mod. Sometimes a new color or something or just something to play with even a new accessory like slick drip tips or new high performance atty. In the 3 month I've bought a Silver Vein,Pink, and Red SB, Omega, BB, Alpha,Phidias, Reo Grand, and a Prodigy, MAP 306 atty,HH 357 and various Cherry Vape drip tips. Variety is the spice of life. I rotate them all from work vape, home vape, and party vape. So treat yourself to something new. You probably owe it to yourself. Whatever you do don't go looking at analogs.

Aloha from the 808 state.

Well I spent the better part of a whopping hour polishing up my once black silver bullet... Cleaned the hell out of it, and it seems like there is still something missing... I'm going to order some more new batteries even though the ones I have are literally only 7 weeks old, just to see if that makes a difference.

The only other thing I can think to do is giving it a shot at 6v, but I've been very happy with 3.7 and a LR atty. I'll probably try an omega just for the hell of it, and if I don't like it, I still have room on my hooka/water pipe and other glass ware shelf (I don't use any, I just think it's cool - I got a hooka from Iraq, glass ware from people who I've watched blow the pipe, kinda turned into an expensive hobby of mine)... guess you could call it my smoking shrine, lol.. I even have the tube (because I gutted it) from my first e-cigarette, and my first home made usb/box mod :)

It looks a lot better than the picture seems, I didn't want to bust out my other camera, so I used my cell, the obnoxious blue/white LED flash seems to give a hazy look when you have CFL lights overhead.
