Not sure what to say other than it is normal to hear some sounds when vaping. Check your pen to see if it is heating up. If it feels 'hot' then put it down and allow to cool. But you will get used to the sound especially when you start to feel better from not smoking. A whole new world awaits you when you begin to heal from all the tar in your body. One of the first things you will notice is smell and taste. Smoking cigs dulls the tissues in the nose, mouth and throat. These senses come back pretty quickly. This is an adventure and the more you heal the better it becomes.
Good luck and stay active on the forum. This place is amazing for the support it can offer you and anyone taking this journey.

I used to hate the noise and hate even more that it spits nearly scalding hot e-liquid onto my tongue at times.

Now, I too find it quite soothing and almost a sign that my hit was big enough. I generally don't stop puffing until I hear the nearly tooth cracking popping noise, which in my rig usually only needs about a 3 second puff for it to make the noise.

The normal little crackling noises I have always ignored as I know it's just burning off the liquid on the coil. But the REALLY loud pop that you can feel on your teeth and everything I now look forward to feeling.

So, all it takes is time to get over it, so put out and step away from the stinky and give it another go.

It's the sound of juice being vaporized, what could be more beautiful.

You'll get used to it. It is completely normal. What's making the sound is the liquid hitting the red-hot coils. Have you ever splashed water onto a hot frying pan and watched the water pop and sizzle? The same thing is happening inside your tank. Don't worry, nothing is wrong, it's 100% normal.

I have grown to love that sound. To me it is the sound of a happy, working well coil. :D
This, exactly. Me and my friends all very much enjoy that sound and strive to build to reproduce it every time as that is the sound of a well set up and efficiently wicked build.

Ther are no red hot coils. This is more like starting up the pan with the water already in it. It can't get much above the boiling point until it starts going dry.

Some sizzle is normal. It's possible yours is not. Compare to known properly working vapes. Some vape pens run the coils too hot, resulting in a burnt taste and short coil/wick life.

Some tanks talk to you more than others. I am not familiar with the VIP line, however, if it is too much for you look around for one that doesn't crackle and pop as much. I use an eGo One Mega and it doesn't make any noise at all. Well, maybe a very slight crackle every now and then. Andria has it right about metal tanks being quieter. Stay with the forum and talk to others and get recommendations on other tanks.

I've gotten used to my Achilles, and it's almost completely silent -- so now when I use a Kayfun -- and I always use the full tall M-tank, which is plastic -- it's a ruckus! But I remember when I first got a Kayfun, and compared to the T3S tanks I used at first, the Kayfun was very quiet! (and now, a cartotank sounds like a house afire!)

If I want to avoid the really big teeth cracking pops then I turn down the wattage when using my Kangertech subohm tank. That usually quiets it down to a nice light spatter/crackling which is hardly even noticeable, of course it also reduces vapor content but when I want to be quiet vaping (like sitting on a street bench with people standing all around) then I turn down the wattage just enough to stop the really earth shattering pops.

If your set up has adjustable heat, be it wattage or voltage ability, try lowering it down to the point where you still get a good hit but less-no noise. If not, and you can afford it, I'd suggest look at a starter kit that has adjustable voltage in its battery so you've got more control over the temperature. I'm not sure what's out there for starter kits now but my first was an ego twist with a ce4 tank. I could adjust the voltage up or down until finding what I liked best.
    Hope that helps.
