Scared to take the ego plung!

I found I have some issues with VG as well, but I can comfortably vape 80/20 pg/vg. Any more VG than that and I get some major lung issues. I would suggest slowly adding in VG to see if you can handle any at all (it's what I did). Having a little mixed in gives me a better feel than just straight PG.
I started, like many, with a cig-a-like starter kit. I have since moved to an eGo setup. It has only been a month since I started vaping. I am actually just getting the hang of the kit. Once I have gotten the hang of the kit in ways I wish I would have stuck with it. I have figured out how to get the most out of the kit. You can refill the cartomizer and get nearly a days use out of one, depending upon how much you vape. The battery life is not all day but if you have 2 batteries you can get by. I could have saved a lot of the startup costs and delayed moving up when the kit batteries die and the cartomizers no longer work. I have only had to throw out one carto and still have 5 that are going strong.
I started out with 60 40 pg/vg mix was allergic, ran over here and read that lot's of people can't handle the pg, so I suffered through the allergies while waiting for the 100% vg to show up. It showed up Thursday and when I tried it my mild allergic reaction became a full blown mess. swollen tongue, non stop sneezing, itching everywhere. So I'm vaping crappy convenience store prefilled while I wait for new juice to arrive. Thanks for the links to the Organic stuff, I will definitely give them a try. I'm a vegetarian so Organic is usually the way I go.

Depending on what kind of juice you're vaping the coils & wick can build up gunk around them. Cleaning also prolongs the life of your clearos. There are several ways to clean them. Some people use vodka some just use hot water. Depending on the liquid & proper cleaning they could last a couple weeks. I left the clearos alone because I got tired of leaking issues. I moved to viva novas but I recently tried cartos so ill be trying out carto tanks as soon as they arrive. Remember not to get overwhelmed. Once you figure out what you like best It gets so much easier! I'd def suggest trying the viva novas. Their easy to clean & the wicks are replaceable.

Youre very welcome! Without the help of this forum i don't know what i would've done! Google bursados how to clean a viva nova. I think it's way easier & less leaking hassle from my experience.
Three things...
1) Mount Baker Vapor has crazy good juice and super cheap prices and will do any combo pg/vg including 100% either direction.
2) I'm not experienced enough to say if that's the best system at High Desert Vapes, but they have good reviews here, that's a good price, and its has all you need. Although I'm sure there are more experienced people here to help and most are suggesting Ego twists with Varying Voltage.

Sorry for having sooo many questions.
I have issues with vg too. If it's over 70pg/30vg it really affects my breathing. Makes my chest feel so heavy and makes me need my rescue inhaler. If you go with the ego and a clearo, the clearos can last much longer than 2-6 weeks. You just need to take care of them. When I bought my first vivi nova I bought 6 extra heads as well as the 3 it came with. I still have all of them because I am still using the 1st one. I fully take apart and clean my vivi when the juice sartst to taste a little "off." Then I do a simple dry burn and I have been using the same head since last September. Takes about 5 minutes every 3 or so weeks to clean it.
No problem helping, but realize that I am by no means an expert...
The one you posted...Think of it this way...The battery runs at one level constantly. The Twist has a knob at the bottom and you can turn the voltage up and down depending on what you want to run your battery at. This allows you to run a wider variety of Clear/Cart/Tank-omizers and is said to allow you to fine tune your vaping to your taste.

All you are talking about essentially is a different BATTERY. One that will last longer and is thicker/longer.
There really is no other difference between ego and cig-a-like. You are going to buy some cartomizers and drip some juice in. Or buy some clearomizers/tanks and put some juice in.
There is nothing about using an ego that represents a learning curve that you haven't already learned about with your cigalike. Battery, screw the delivery device onto battery, put e-liquid into delivery device.
NO DIFFERENCE......except you can use more delivery devices (more stuff is made for ego and 501-threading) with better outcome on top of your battery now.
EGO is JUST A BATTERY.
Just like your cig-a-like is really no different than a disposable ecig that comes apart. bottom part is the battery, top part in a disposable is simply a cartomizer, essentially.

I think you will too and for that price you can't go wrong. Short money to take a step that like I said will only add to your vaping experience. Everything in that kit will be able to be used on anything you buy in the future.

With the larger ego battery, you can put cartomizers, clearomizers, mini vivi nova tanks, a cartotank, ce3's - many more juice delivery devices than the cigalike battery that can only use a cartomizer. All those devices are a little different and everyone has their own preferences on which they like best.
So many options can appear confusing to a beginner but it is a good thing to have options. If one isn't for you, another might be. Remember to look at the link for the picture dictionary that I sent you.

Honestly, I would keep learning about things for a couple of weeks if I were in your shoes (which I was until about two weeks ago). Watch videos, read, read, read, and compare prices. I skipped regular eGo's and went for an eGo-C Twist kit from Virgin Vapor, and I ordered some clearos from other sites, after checking around for best prices. I like the Twist with Stardust type clearos, standard resistance, as well as with Kanger T3s. I'm waiting on some cartos to try with it, so I can't say anything about those, yet.
I found that using my cig-alike with clearos and pre-filled cartos while I kept researching seemed to work out well because it helped me adjust to an e-cig and gave me a better understanding of what people were talking about in terms of throat hit and all that other stuff. After I took the eGo plunge, things made even more sense and it's not nearly as scary as I thought it might be. There are TONS of great videos out there, so I would suggest looking up different types of eGo batteries and then watching some videos to help you figure out what you want.

Thanks everyone and Baditude. I think I'll look for one that I can adjust the volts. I'm feeling much less intimidated now, and can't wait to get rid of this thing I have now. It's just not enough for me and I don't want to go back to the stinkies.
