I just have to add in that it may have been a banking error. I work in customer service and I actually had a call that morning where the guy was supposed to get charged $294 but it went thru 5 more times. When the front desk checked they only showed 1 transaction. When he called the bank it turned out, it was actually a bank wide error that effected hundreds of ppl. I can't remember what his bank was but he was goin nuts.
Sounds like it may be the same thing.

When buying online I will only use PayPal or a disposable CC as online CC fraud is rampant and a common occurrence...even though my wife, who works at a financial institution, and her tech dept co- workers had warned me I had to learn the hard way.

Last but not least- make absolutely sure your PC is fully protected from Malware, Spyware, viruses, keyloggers, etc...always astounds me when someone is having PC issues and after a simple scan turns out their PC is loaded with the above progs....may as well just go out for the day and leave your front door open

I have a prepaid credit card for all my online purchases. I deposit my "personal budget" money into it once a month. If something goes wrong it is only a bit of money and they give me the same protection for fraud protection and being able to contest charges that my regular credit cards do. I did it initially for use with online gaming because I was paranoid about fraud at the time and it has become a habit.

Generally, we don't permit these types of threads for a couple of reasons. First, it's virtually impossible to tell where the issue really resides. Second, it's not fair to the parties concerned as they can't even respond to the allegation. Therefore, I'm closing this and editing out the name of the company.
