Please be careful and listen to your own body. I am one of the 'lucky' ones who is very allergic to pg. I didn't realize what was going on until I went into anaphylaxis. IF you are really allergic to pg be very careful. I have found very few vendors that use flavorings without pg in them and even that little bit can be dangerous. Johnson Creek Red Oak and EcoPure are the only two kinds of juice I will buy. I use anywhere from 0 up to 36 mg depending on the circumstances. But that's just me.

OMG!! That is terrible! How is the ecopure juice? It's a little pricey but I guess worth it- especially for you.

I really like the Ecopure, it's really a fresh, clean flavor. I use a mixture of regular and menthol. My favorite is the Tennessee Cured at Johnson Creek, really smooth.
That was really scarey, but I don't think it is a very common problem. It was actually an asthma inhaler with pg in it that put me over the top. But the pg in ecigs is how we knew what the problem was.

i nic ODd my first time too and didnt touch my pv for a day or so..

it was definitely too high mg of nicotine..started with 18mg.

i was a pack a day marlboro lights smoker...

now i use 12mg and its perfectly fine. there is an adjustment phaze though...its almost like youre swallowing the nicotine now instead, so take a few hits when u start out then wait before going again until u get used to it

Based on advice given to Noobs in the Info pages I ordered (a lot!) of 24mg e-liquid, and I had a similar first couple of days. Finally I realized the shaky and sick feeling was nicotine OD from the 24mg. I think it would be better if they recommended buying a variety of mg levels and start low.

I also had serious lung pain after vaping, which I think was PG reaction. I read about Virgin Vapor here at ECF and they sell VG only e-liquids, no PG unless you request it added. They also recommended starting with 12mg and go up only if you need to. I only do VG now and no lung or throat pain since.

Currently I mix my e-liquids, a few drops of 12mg and a drop or two of 24mg. I guess I am making 18mg? Still trying to find just the right experience. Maybe I should just be okay with wanting to spend more time vaping than I did smoking and do the 12mg?

I use a Riva 510 and just ordered a Riva UNC which has a bigger battery, I hope that will push the 12mg a little better.

The whole PV thing is waaay more complicated than analogs but after just a few weeks my lungs are happier and I can actually smell stuff now. I am very thankful for the ECF Forum otherwise I would never have gotten this far!

People react to nicotine concentrations differently. I've read some people use 42mg juice and I can't for the life of me go over 18mg and I will instantly get buzzing ears, racing pulse, hazy feeling and tightness at the back of my neck if I take 10 or so puffs of 18mg quickly.

I need 8mg or less. That's me. I don't see myself having a low nicotine tolerance as an ex roll your own (sometimes unfiltered) 20+ a day smoker.

I started on 18mg and I didn't sleep for a few months. I got 4 hours or less sleep a night and sometimes I just didn't sleep for a few days. I had all the symptoms of too much nicotine which is like having 10 straight highly caffeinated energy drinks for me. I make my own juices now (vg base with no pg) at 6 - 8mg and if I vape too much of that I'll get all the symptoms back.

Just depends on you I guess. I think I'd be in A&E if I vaped 42mg but some people here do. I think some people would be climbing the walls if they were only using 6 - 8mg but it can be too much for me. Weird eh.
