Hey all
I guess I'm bored at work and decided read some stuff about movies that scared the HELL out of me.
What's your favorite scary movie?
For me, I'm not into homicide. That I find completely mundane. Scream? come on. And while I appreciate what a good movie Silence of the Lambs was, I did not find it scary because at the end of the day, it was homicide.
The supernatural is what freaks me out.
My top scary movies:
The Shining:
I CAN NOT resist watching this movie all the way through every time it comes on TV even though it scares me.
Silent Hill:
Terrible movie that didn't make much sense but some VERY very creepy scenes and situations.
Ringu:
The Japanese version of the Ring. It wasn't as prettied up as the American one, but the TV scene is just out of this world. They don't show Sadako's face! That's the best part! The American one just looked like the Reagan from the Exorcist. (been there done that).
House on Haunted Hill:
Another terrible movie. I list it only because the thought of an abandoned insane asylum is probably the scariest thing I can think of. And there's a creepy basement/operative room scene.
The Audition:
Creeeeeepy! The guy in the burlap sack? the moving tongue and fingers?
Event Horizon:
I saw this fully once. The second time around I was in the room and kept my eyes glued to web browsing instead of the TV while my cousins watched it. That's how disturbing it was for me.
I just found this video and it is just about the best thing I've seen in months:
YouTube - event horizon oooOOOOAAAAAHHHHH!!!!
oooOOOOAAAAAHHHHH!!!! haaaaa oh man....i'm going to have to really see that movie again.
