I can't smell it, but my husband & son will say "that smells minty" minthia, or "that smells like banana" POB

Way back when I first started vaping (almost 2 years ago) my wife, daughter, dentist & dental technician, all non-smokers, were very impressed that they couldn't smell anything when I vaped in their presence.
Several weeks later my wife was riding with me in my truck (windows closed) when she blurted out something to the effect that "Why does your truck smell like coconut?" It was my vape-o'-the-day, and she loved the aroma.
Only a few days later my daughter walked in to my office (at home) and, with an eye-brows-raised look on her face, asked "What's that fruity smell?" It was my blueberry vape, and again, she liked it.
Those are the only two flavors (smells, actually) that either of them has ever noticed or commented on, and it seems to happen only when I vape in an enclosed space.

I don't notice it when I vape but I notice it when my ex does depending on which e-liquid he uses. Now some I can't smell at all but some I can One that comes to mind is the caramel cappuccino. Now I can really smell that but it smells so good that I don't ind. Another thing I notice is that the smell doesn't linger long and goes away fairly quickly. I have had friends come over to visit and I have asked them if they smell anything when I vape and they have told me no.
My Cappuccino (my only vape) gets rave reviews from my hardcore non-smoking friends. I can vape anywhere now with compliments on how good it smells. Although the odor only lasts a few seconds, it is nice knowing that it is not offensive to others.
I answered sometimes, but the scents are usually very pleasant and do not linger. There is one Tabacco that my husband vapes that definitely turns my stomach so I ask him to blow it away from me and as soon as it gets too bad I ask him to quit. The funny thing is, vaping the flavor isn't bad. I told him he should tell his co-worker to let him know if any of the flavors bother him.
some seem to linger forever, while others hardly last long enough for me to finish the exhale.
Most of the flavors I vape have a nice mellow odor. But you have to be careful of the ones that taste great but smell horrible. I had a pear once that was an amazing tasting juice but made you smell like stinky feet!
Yes,you can detect the odor in small spaces combined with heavy vaping. If you vape heavily enough in car with closed windows, the smell will become noticeable. This holds true for some liquids more than others.
I was mixing up some butter rum from lorans and my husband said whoo what in heck are you doing over there.The alcohol smell is very,very strong.
