some stuff like the box mods itaste mvp, opus D have internal batteries. just plug in the charger cord and let it charge.
most other mods you need to charge a removable battery like an 18350-18650 with a charger that plugs in into the wall. you remove the battery, plug in the charger and put the battery into the charger.
chargers can be acquired separetly or come in a kit along with the mod, it depends on where you buy it from. for example fasttech has a kit with the vamo that comes with the vamo, 2 batteries and a good charger.

Most high end devices use either removable & rechargeable lithium batteries (examples; Caravela, GG, Provari). Or an internal non-removable & rechargeable lithium batteries (example; darwin). The removable ones require an external charger, while the non-removables use usb. Some come with the device, but usually most high end devices do not.

Pretty much covered. Most ego/stick batteries use the ego charging cable to wall or usb/wall connection. If they are passthrough ego batteries, they use a usb connection.

Many APV's use changeable and chargeable batteries and require separate chargers, most of which will charge 18350, 18500 and 18650 batteries, among others. They are plugged into the wall.

Some APV's like the eVic are passthrough but also have removable batteries as well. You can use either usb or external battery charger.

Most internal batteries, i.e., those that are not removable use usb connections.

The usb connections are generally either mini or micro connections into the device. They vary so check carefully.

buying the batteries and chargers in a kit allow you to bundle those costs which generally will save you money versus buying them all separately.

Good luck, good question btw, Vape On!
