I've ask ed this question here before but never got an answer from anyone. I'll ask again and see if I have better luck. I'm strictly a Scotch drinker for my adult beverages. I've seen plenty of whickey and bourbon flavorings but I can't seem to find a Scotch flavoring. Has anyone out there run across one?

In the beginning of my vaping career I ordered two juices – bacon and whisky. I do love beckon and whisky, so I was excited to find these two flavors. I used then CE4s, and I had to throw two of them away (they are not really washable). They were nauseating flavors. Really nauseating.
I wish you can find a nice scotch and tell us about your finding.
Good caviar also could be helpful.

This thread inspired me a little and though I dont have the flavor the op was hoping for I decided to mix up a batch of:
4% ry4 Inw
3% brandy Tfa
2% classic vanilla FA
1 drop smooth for 10ml

We'll see how it turns out after a month long steep
Give Inawera Shisha Brandy Cocoa a try. I love that stuff !

It might gunk up a coil but I would be curious if you took like 29 ml of PG/VG mixture and added 1 ml of your favorite scotch to it and then let it breath and steep for a few days. Who knows, might be an awsome vape that would be worth rebuilding the coils every few days.

Well, since you brought it up...

I'm just spit-balling here. It seems to me that if there is no commercial flavor, attempt to reduce scotch to a concentrated level, mix with PG and use as a flavoring. Unfortunately, typical DIY doesn't have access to pro tools like Roto Evaporators and the like...ending in really harsh and inconsistent flavor. Be a good project if someone had the time though...

The 'Bathtub Scotch Flavor' method:
Gently evaporate the alcohol off the scotch. It goes away at around 140 degrees.
You are then left with a known amount of scotch flavored water.
Reduce scotch flavored water by .75, leaving .25 concentrated scotch flavored water (quality unknown).
Mix with 3 parts PG.

Steep several days, test, (possibly gag), learn, refine...lather, rinse, repeat.

I think the end sugar ratio would make it gunkier than a badly filtered NET though...Wait, is there sugar in Scotch? Yes, 100-500 mg per liter. Mostly Fructose and Glucose.

The thing is, many juices come with alcohol in them already which is why people leave the lids off when steeping. I would be curious what just adding a little bit of something like a glenn levits to a PG/VG mixture and seeing how it does. I am kinda looking at it like I do with my favorite tobacco blend I use to buy. By itself it would gunk up a coil in a day but it tasted very good. Mixed 50/50 with some PG/VG and I could get a couple weeks out of a coil and the flavor wouldnt be as strong but still good. Same might be true with using some scotch or any type of alcohol in a PG/VG mixture.

Plus I am always a huge advocate for the Keep It SImple theory.

Thanks for the suggestions, guys. I'm the OP and hadn't considered evaporating off the bulk of the liquid in Scotch to get a more concentrated flavor. I'll give it a try and see what I come up with. I'll report back. May open up a whole new world of flavorings!

Hang on there just one dang minute, fellow Scotch drinker here! Do not WASTE the alcohol... as that is abuse! My suggestion is that you buy a 'Vaportini'... consume the evaporated alcohol and then you can use the remainder for your experiments. And... you will notice that any flavor you get from the gases via the vaportini... is flavor you are losing if you just evap the alcohol as suggested.

I have no public or private interest in the manufacturer, distributor, etc in any way that I know of or even suspect :vapor:
