Has anyone else noticed an issue with screwdriver chargers?

I plug mine into the wall, insert the battery and sometimes it's fine, and other times it makes this strange hissing noise and gets very very hot.

I've stopped using the screwdriver as my main as I can just seen myself setting the house on fire.

Happens with both batteries, so pretty sure its a charger issue not a battery issue.

I'll get around sometime to getting a new charger, but just wondering if it's a common problem.

I never had your problem but what i did have is, both the chargers i got in my kits were not up to the job of fully recharging my batteries, and got quite hot.
I have a 510 and a Tornado, both came with charging units and both PV's from new have given me poor battery life. I kind of thought, surely i can't have all duff batteries, all 4 were the same, very short vaping times.
I spoke to TW, and was assured that the Tornado battery should return a far better vaping duration then the pitfall 2 hours i was getting. "Could all my batteries be duff"? or was it the charging units?

I then ordered 2 more new batts and at the same time a new USB battery charger from TW. I found that on my old chargers, when the green light was on, indicating the battery was full, that they were NOT fully charged, because switching them from the kit chargers, onto the USB charger, they continued to charge for another 35-40 minutes. Hence i now get a lot longer vaping time from my batteries. Same goes for my 510, and the little USB charger stays cool + it is much quicker recharging a flat battery.

Your charging unit could be at fault, getting hot, just don't seem right to me, warm yes, but not hot.
Hope this all makes sense.
