I have a charger for charging my 18650 batteries. It is the plug in 2 pin style so I have to use a travel adapter with it.
The travel adapter that came originally was cheap and unfused so I dont use it. I use a fused travel adapter.
Although this works, when plugged in it just feels 'loose' in the connection and for piece of mind I want to get a better charger.
What do you use in the uk?
Any suggestions?

I use the main lead that came from Nitecore charger plugged into a £2.99 adapter like you.

If I wanted to, I could change the main lead with one from a stereo system or something, but I don't see the point really.

What sort of charger do you have? The nitecore seems solid enough in the adapter for charging safely.

When it comes to batteries and chargers i dont mind paying extra for peace of mind. I bought an XTAR VP1 which is a 2 bay charger (can charge different size batts at the same time, etc), it has loads of inbuilt safety features, a display of the charge rate you are using, the batteries current voltage and something to show how close to full charge the battery is. I've never had any problems with it and i like the fact it tells me how much charge there is in the battery. Pila also have a very good repuation, but not sure if they are available here as they seem to be US based. The Efest LUC also seems to be a good charger, but i havent read reviews about this one (I've seen loads of good reviews for Pila and the XTAR VP1).

One of the above chargers will cost around £35 but you can probably get them a bit cheaper if you shop around.

Saying all of this loads of people use other chargers which are considerably cheaper without having any problems at all so it just depends on how much you want to spend.

As said above I would change your charger, I have the Nitecore i4 for home use bought from Amazon (UK plug), and have ordered the i2 for when I go to Europe with an EU plug (they are just a "figure of 8 lead") and make sure you use the right batteries as well, IMR or INR High Drain batteries - BUT NOT ICR the first 2 have safe chemistry.

I use an Efest Soda, that uses a common two pin connection and a UK plug. It will run between 100-240V, so when travelling I can just use a cheap common lead designed for that country, no dodgy adapters. I believe it was around the £17 mark and can charge any battery you could possibly use in a mod.

That " common two pin connection" is a "figure of eight connector", and not the two pin plug that the OP was talking about, which is the CEE 7/16 "Europlug" type C rather than the type G that we use over here, but agree that it is the best connector to have, so that you only have to change the lead providing the voltage is similar or the unit can accept both 110/230v

Yes, I realised the OP was talking about a European plug, just couldn't remember the name for the connection :D
