Ok, I've had the 510 for around 3 weeks and I'm tired of the constant battery swap dance. I also dont like the inconsistency of the unit. It seems you get around 4-5 really good hits with a fresh battery. After that it seems you have to draw a lot longer to get good vapor and TH. I need something else. After looking thru the forums and reviewing all the options I've narrowed it down to either the Tornado (eGo) or the Screwdriver MKII from Totally Wicked. Part of my decision was based on what is available now. I'd like a Prodigy V2 but dont realy want to wait 3 weeks for it to ship. Anyone have experience with these two models?

Thanks for any input.

BTW: 3 weeks of vaping and I'm down to less than 1 analog a day. Sometimes I just need a few puffs and I dont beat myself up because of it. Dam well beats the 30 per day I was at.

You should probably search the forum for information at this point. And read Wonderful World of vaping if you haven't already.

Once your post count gets to 15 you will be able to start threads in other areas of the forum and you will probably be more likely to get the answer to your question.

Good luck!

So based on that it sounds like I'll get better performance from the SD. I thought the Tornado bats would give the 510 an extra kick. One of the things I've noticed with the 510 is the vapor seems to be on the cool side. Will the SD give warmer vapor?
The tornado does give a warmer vapor than a standard 510 because of the atty cone..it changes the air draw..it draws air in around the mouthpiece and down along the side of the atty so a warm atty prewarms the air before it's drawn through the atty..

I heard some reviews stating that it made no difference if the cone was on or off. Interesting. Anyway I went with the SD. I already own a 510 and from the way it sounds the Tornado is just a 510 with a bigger battery. I'm also not big on spending $20-25 for a battery.

Thanks for the all the feedback. I'll let you know my opinion on the SD MKII when I get it.

:( sorry to hear your not going with the eGo or tornado (totally wicked provides double of everything, two batteries two atty's) its so portable and SLICK! While the screwdriver is very cumbersome and well it looks like a screwdriver LOL Ahh well let us know

I'm more or less over the "it has to look like an analog". I just want something that will perform great and consistent. I'll still have my 510 for when I want to be discreet. Heck with the money I'm saving from not buying analogs (between me and my wife we were spending apx. $400 per month) I can buy a new PV every month.

right. the tornado couldnt look less like an analog and performs with the best. juuuuuuuust sayin

Were did I say anything about the Tornado looking like an analog? You stated that the SD was cumbersome and I was responding to that. As for the performance I have no doubt that it preforms well. I have a 510 so I know it does.

I have those same sentiments! When I first started I wanted it to look like a normal cigarette... now I would rather it didn't! And the amount of money I'm not spending on cigarettes allows me to buy all kinds of new PV toys!

Iammoonie, you seem really hyped over the Tornado. Not just in this thread but also in some others. So much so I have to find out for myself. I just ordered a bat, cone and charger adapter. Lol, I see this becoming an expensive hobby.

well good good good you will not be disappointed, like i was saying. its just that those mods are cumbersome...so much so that its practically necessary to have a smaller unit to have in public as to avoid dasterdly looks. the tornado allows you to 'break the ice' so to speak with the nay sayers. imagine trying to convince some one that its a SAFE-R alternative to traditional cigarettes, all the while puffing on the beastly SD or other comparable mod devices LOL! The tornado is a great advocate for our cause, while not sacrificing performance at all. Ahhh i could go on and on...
