Thanks guys.

I ordered 10 from Best ecig since they had black ones in stock.

I just started using e-cigs 2 weeks ago, and I have 3 of them, and although I think this is the best idea I've seen in a long time, and I've cut my smoking in half, the quality of these things seem to be garbage. They remind me of the dollar store crap my son gets in his goody bag at birthday parties.

My Janty Dura's down with 2 fried atomizers, and a battery that got so hot that it almost burnt my hand. (It wouldn't shut off). My Pilot has one crappy battery, and one fried atomizer, so I just have the small battery and 1 smelly atomizer left for that one. My Smoke 51 has one battery that dies fast, but still works. But I'm out of carts, and refilling them is touch and go, and I'm almost out of carts to refill, since they seem to get gross or stop working, after filling them a couple times.

So after spending hundreds of dollars on 3 units a couple weeks ago, I'm looking at being e-cigless anytime now.

I'm hoping that the Screwdriver will be different, and I'll have at least one e-cig that will never let me down. So besides the atomizers, do any of the other parts need constant replacing?

What about the batteries and charger? Has anyone bought extra batteries and chargers off the shelf?

I'd really like to be prepared this time.

Thanks

I havent had any issues with my SD. It has been one of my best buys so far. Although the Pilot treated me well also. Only had issues the Njoy Npro. You can buy some extra batteries here:

DealExtreme: $6.92 SpiderFire LC-16340 3.6V 880mAh Rechargeable Lithium Batteries (4-Pack)

I find the battery on the SD has lasted the whole day for me, not a heavy vaporer though.

Dont give up on the e-cigs yet!

Thanks guys.

got mine today , i'm pretty sure after you try this you wont want anything else. Be warned that only silver atomizers fit this thing and sometimes not even then... of the 7 atomizers i have only 1 fits in properly. The black and white painted ones are a touch to thick to connect to the battery properly

That's strange. I have a black and a silver one from PS and a white one from somewhere else and they all fit in there fine. Maybe you can sand off the paint at the end and yours will fit.

hmmmmmmm , maybe it has something to do with the thread of the atomizer then , my 2 black ones from the smokelessshop.com work after a few times of screwing them in and out , it wore down the paint and now they have a stripe of silver where it meets the body of the screwdriver

as for the sanding Houdini , i was actually about to try that on one of the white ones since they seem to have thicker paint than the silver ones

i'll let you know how it goes , reguardless i love this thing

just for clarity as Trog isnt allowed to post here.

i cant post there so i will link to the thread..

atomizers not fitting properly..

there are two basic type of 901 atomizer.. the DSE 901 type and the RN 4075 type..

the DSE type are slightly fatter then the RN type

the same applies to classic style atomizers.. they are similar but not all exactly the same.. the threaded ends differ slightly.. lady pipe buyers are finding this problem..

now back to the SD... the recess hole size in the end has been carefully arrived at to take the slightly fatter DSE atomizers whilst still offering structural support to the smaller RN type..

but nothing is perfect and the odd "extra" fat DSE atomizer with more paint than normal might be a little tight.. its production tolerances in the atomizers and the fact the chinese change the thread design slightly as they see fit that make it hard to produce something that can take all generic atomizers that get aimd at it..

we are having exactly the same problem with classic adapters.. we think we have it about right... but the odd atomizer might well be tight or not fit properly..

we currently ship the shiny RN4.75 type from ruyandirect china and the shiny classic BE112 type from bestecig.com china.. other types should fit but some might be tight or not fit properly..
