Searching For The Perfect Vape

I still cannot find it; as all my mods stop firing. Right now I'm using my first mod.The K100. It outperformed all of my other mods that I had before they all took a poop on me. Its crazy. Could it be the spring, that makes it so good? I have no idea. I tried the tugboat mod, it failed me. It stopped firing after a few days. And that thing hit like a champ. But this k100, seems to be knocking me out. Like taking a uppercut from Chuck Liddell. I just want to know if there's a magnetic k100 type mod, or should I just stick with this? ( I hate the way it looks BTW. Cause all I have is black rdas. :( )

*sigh*... I guess I'm now "one of those" people. ;)

The closest I've gotten to perfect so far (and I've tried darn near everything) is a Reo Grand topped with a Derringer. Lots of my other combos vape wonderfully but none can touch my two Reo/Derringer setups. My black Grand LP/SL accompanied me to my in-laws' lake house today... pretty much the only way I could get through the day.

Those REOs look so nice!! Good price too. And it seems to be the new thing but what's a bottom feeder? And what's the difference between a bottom feed vs a regular?

The atomizer has a hole in the 510 pin and feeds juice into the atomizer from the bottom. Squeeze the bottle (squonk), juice feeds into the atty, and get your vape on. No more dripping from the top.

Hole in the bottom of the 510:

Hole in the positive post to feed/drain:

No one ever finds the perfect vape. Your tastes change and the next big thing is just over the horizon.

I thought this way, too, Spent a lot of money trying to find the next best thing. More watts, bigger tank, shiny, black, copper are just a few. Then,,, I got a Reo. best of everything I like about vaping. Rugged, dishwasher safe, maybe not bullet proof but at least bullet resistant. All the best of dripping without all the hassle. It is even safe to bottom feed and drive.

when all your devices are the same ... the search is over.

The Provari topped with a Kayfun is my perfect vape ... very reliable, lots of flavour, and clouds that totally blow smoking away.

with DIY eLiquid ... vaping doesn't come cheaper or more reliable than this ...

Every mod, regulated and Toppers come with a steep learning curve. Often I say to my wife that I don't know how people vape that are not at least a little mechanically inclined. I do always get the perfect vape off everything I use. Takes work and effort to do it. I keep my tanks, coils clean, rewick every day or two, build coils, Kanger coils to specs that they do work well. Mix juice for the vape I am looking for. I want my first vape as good as my last vape. To do that it takes at least an hour a day between mine and my wife's. That's the price you pay if you want to play. CHEERS!

+1 on the REO.....but a tugboat on a vapor flask is pretty nice too.
I almost bought a Tugboat today for my Hana V4D. I bought the Syntheticloud Aeolus instead.

I'm running 30g dual coils, 0.17 ohms, 480* F, 40 watts. After experimenting with a few more builds on this, I just might have found my perfect vape. Best flavor atty I've had so far.

Sent from my HTC One M8 Harman/Kardon edition

The K100 was my first mech mod a bit over 2 years ago. I used it almost exclusively for about 3/4 of a year and the only thing wrong with it now is it needs a new spring, or the spring might just need a stretch. I have not seen a magnetic switch for the K100 and if I found one I would not get it. That spring helps keep the voltage drop low and the switch dependable.

And I agree, it is not a good looking mod ;), but for me it's much more about performance than looks :)

On the subject of searching for the perfect vape, I never moved on to new hardware until I figured out how to get the best out of the gear I had at the time. I will always appreciate learning the basics about how vaping works with the early stuff I used.

Best of luck with it AdammBone!
