Vape safe chip question

Okay so ive got my first mech mod... a kecig k100. scared that these things can blow up so i bought an eh imr 18650 30 amp battery to go in it. my dad gave me a vape safe or something chip to put in with the battery that supposedly protects it? not sure what it does my main question is i have read that they only protect you once but how will i know if/when it fails?? will it just not fire no matter how many times i press it? will it blow up in my face if i keep pressing it

The "2 cents for safety" fuse will prevent any use if the fuse blows. Then you have to replace it.

You should be fine with it. I've had it with the ICR batteries that came with that k100 for a few months until I replaced them with AW and sony IMR batteries. Unless you're running sub ohm with the ICR battery it shouldn't blow up.
