Thanks. I read through both mentioned threads, and it seems that the jury is out. Nobody really knows.

Bear in mind, that the clean air act, which is the basis for many no-smoking laws, makes no statements about nicotine. Nor have any studies proven 2nd hand smoke creates nicotine addiction in non-users. Only that smoke contributes to lung and heart disease because of combustion.

Valid concern, that we've all wondered about. So far, I've heard:
Nicotine dissolves into the body upon contact.
Blow onto a kleenex and the kleenex will remain white, which means nothing is exhaled.
Nicotine is found in tomatoes and other natural foods.
The worst scenario? People around you will become so addicted to you that you won't ever be able to be by yourself ever again.
With that said, vape in the other room. :)

I think people wanna believe that anything that comes out of an ecig MUST be bad cause it looks like smoke from an analog. There are more pollutants outdoors from car exhaust on any given day than we would like to think about. It's water vapor. People are ignorant of the fact that these are not in any way a cigarette.

I agree. Maybe I shouldn't say this- everyone needs to do what they think is best. I'm not trying to tell anyone else what to do, but for me--

When I quit smoking and started vaping I also quit taking crap about smoking- because I'm not. Seriously seriously tired of the air wavers, the people that acted like you stepped in dog ..... when they smelled cigarette smoke, the people cramming twinkies in their mouth while spouting about how bad second hand smoke is.

I don't have little kids. I vape in my house, my car, my yard. If people don't like it, they're the ones that have to leave. Because I'm not harming anyone else. They need to pull the stick out and get over it or get going. Cause I don't want to hear it.

The only person I may be harming and that info will probably come out after I'm dead- if they ever do a study- is me. I'm happy I'm vaping, and so are the people around me. I've gotten nothing but support.

I'm not sure we know how much nicotine we are exhaling, but I'm sure it isn't enough to worry about.

My question would be what do they think is so bad about inhaling a tiny bit of nicotine anyway?
I'm guessing they have incorrect beliefs about the dangers of nicotine.

What exactly are their concerns?

Good luck to you Sandy! I vape in the house (never smoked inside)...the amount of exhaled nicotine is soooo much less than a burning cigarette.
I guess it is true, that we do not know how much is in the exhale...but it hasn't bothered anyone around here, and in fact means I spend more time with them, instead of settling down outside for a smoking session.
