Security question, does ECG change your password?

Tried to log in today as normal but kept getting a page that said my password had expired and i must follow the link to change it.

Is this normal or some kind of security threat?

Just re read this and it's this site that's telling my password expired. No sure where the "ECG" came from in the title.

happened to me about a month ago. No warning that the password was going to expire, then poof, I was locked out. All is well now, except I have some password that I can't remember, and I can't figure out how to reset it to something that I want.

Glad it's not just me then, hope it is a legal change and not some scam.
To change your email and password is easy, just click settings in the top blue bar and down the left side is the option to change them. But you need to know your present password.
Or contact the forum itself and ask for it to be reset.

It also happened to my boyfriends account but he hasn't been on the forum for a few months now and he thought that is why he had to change it.

Passwords expire after 6 months. So yes, we do require periodic password changes.
