Seeking advice from anyone who has tried several types of ecigs

Yup. The Janty stick, for me nothing compares at this point. It's small, doesn't look like a cig and I vape constantly without frustration. Occasionally, my throat gets pretty dry but I always have water around even before vaping. I have heard people make remarks about the harshness, I guess I just don't notice it as much. What flavors do you vape? I tried the fruits, grape and peach were ok my favorite is watermelon. So far I find clove, hilton, RY4, and watermelon have great flavor and not to bad on the throat. French pipe is good but I find that too harsh for me. To me the quest has been fun. I think you might like the vapor king, just before I bought the stick I bought the nebula from V9 which I think is the same, but I think VP4L also carries a pass thru for the vapor king, you might think about that and a battery back up like the kennsington. But that's me I LOVE LOVE LOVE my vapes and want it constantly on command.

Thanks again Nori. All good information! So far all I've tried is menthol and banana, although I have other flavors on hand such as caramel, watermelon, coffee and bluberry. I just didn't have a chance to try them yet. I like the banana too much! The menthol tastes like mint and not like menthol at all, so I won't buy more of that.

I might try a Janty because I think "harshness" might be what I need to start out. It almost feels like I'm sucking clean air through a straw. I do know that the high nic content juices have been better for me. I guess when you kick the analogs and go to 100% vaping, a lot of nic is needed to feel the same relaxation...at least for now. I intend to buy more 24mg nic content this week. What juice vendor do you recommend?

That's the other thing I love about vaping. I am drinking water again instead of soda! I hated the taste of water after an analog. Now water tastes good!

mmm banana that sounds good, where did you purchase that? I'll have to go back and re read some threads I seem to remember reading about the best menthol, I didn't really pay too much attention as I don't do menthol (childhood trauma! Moms though she would fix me with salems!) I happen to like 36mg myself I hadn't tried anything higher freedom smokes (something like that) carries 48mg and I noticed totally wicked has a new line with the higher nic, I've been meaning to try Totally wicked as the juice is made in the uk and they happen to be having a 30% off sale going on right now. I'm the kind of person that when I find someone that I like I pretty much stay loyal so most of my juice is from vapornine. been trying to venture out some but so far for me, vapornine and janty are my main sources. I've been eyeballing eliquid planet, freedom smokes, and diet smokes (he seems to have different brands). Smilen at V4L is a great guy and gives good service he seems pretty sincere. Anyway here I go rambling on again.. sorry. You know I quit analogs by accident I never wanted to quit I did get wrapped up with these "digitals" and before I knew it I definitely could smell a smoker a mile away LOL happy vapeing!

I am interested in purchasing a starter kit and I really liked the blu cig price. I did some more research and found another company 3DOM? which looks like the same but they have a bigger unit available. The charging pack seems like a great feature. Does anyone know of these brands and are they a good into into the ecig world?
Thanx
Baxter

I've never heard of 3DOM. I did read in one of these threads that blu was having issues with charging pack, I think it was in the general thread. I would look around the forum and read up on it.:)

I have tried their Liberty model first which then made me buy their Elite. I have to say this unit produces so much vapor. I can't believe it. They offer the same unit as blu called the mini but the bigger model has a longer bat life and bigger cartridges. The reason I went with 3DOM was that my friend had a blu kit and she was having problems with getting her cartridges and parts. I have been using this ecig for 4 weeks and I love it. So much so I tried to become a distributor for them.
Just my experience. Good luck.

I vaped on a Blu cig first, but the flavor was terrible and it hurt my throat after about 7 vapes. Definitely not good for a chain smoker/vaper.

The charging case that Blu came with had some issues with the battery connecting to it and my cartridges would fall through the little holes that were supposed to hold them and then I'd end up losing a cartridge because I didnt want to tear up the case trying to get it.

I vape a Puresmokers Ace KR808d-1 model right now. It has great vapor, its a manual battery which allows for a long drag, and battery life is good. I smoked a pack a day and I chain vape and it lasts about all day. The cartomizers don't taste too good, they taste burnt. 4 out of 5 carts i bought from them tasted burnt right off the bat.

Puresmokers Cash Liquid is alright so far, gets dry tasting quick though.

I ordered a 3DOM pack just to see what the hell it is because nobody has heard of them and nobody has a video review. I will be doing a video review the instant I get it in the mail. Customer service was awesome though so far. The owner contacted me personally about an issue I made with my address just to make sure I got my product.

I don't know of a video about dripping, but I've updated my "Beginners Guide to Dripping"...

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/blogs/quasimod/504-noobs-guide-direct-dripping.html

Sorry if I seem to ramble at times :)

Also, there is a related post there about turning an ePump into the "Dripper's Best Friend". I REALLY ramble in that one, because I was really tired when I wrote it last night.

Hope that helps! :)

Also, I notice that your join date was 9+ months ago. If you don't mind my asking, what on earth took you so long to order one?

Started on the M401. Still like it for vapor production, but the cart sizes stink.
Tried the RN4082. Similar to the 401, only tried it on stock batteries
Got my first mod, and discovered 3.7V vaping (a true battery instead of the 3.4V stock batts) - made a huge difference. It happened to be a Chuck with a 510 connector (I was using an adapter to the 401. Tried the 6V battery setup and the atty popped like a firecracker. You CANT use a 401 on anything above 4.5V. So then I got a 510 atty for my chuck. It definitely produces good vapor. Once you get above 5V, the vapor starts coming out warm, which makes a huge difference in the overall experience. I ordered a couple more chucks and a bartleby (401), then got a 5V box mod. I picked up a 401 - Cartomizer adapter and tried the KR808-D cartos. Wow! Lots of vapor, holds a lot, easy to fill. The only problem for me was I kept sucking them dry and then burning the filler (Yech!). Even at a buck a piece (Thanks Iken), that was killing me. After that, I read some more and picked up a GGTS. It's ideal for me for a lot of reasons. First and foremost, the battery options let me vape at 3.7, 6 or 7.4 V. Secondly, with the four way connector, I can use 801,808,901 or 510 atomizers on it. Thirdly, it's all mechanical, so there's no wiring or electronics to break. and last, but not least, it has the option of an AFS attachment which keeps your atty wet and the vapor flowing for hours with no changes needed. Of course with the GGTS, I got a few 901 atties, and I like them about as well as the 510.
Then, last week I got a 510 LR atty from a coop order in the PIF social group. $3.00, and the best atty I've ever used at 3.7V. I haven't tried it any higher, both because I don't want to cook it, and because I don't need to.
So, in order of (current) personal preference:
510 LR
901 (on AFS)
808D - 5V
510 Normal
901 (Drip tip)
808D - 3.7 V
401 (great for dipping)
4081
To be fair to the 401, it is a really great atty, and has worked well for me. The lack of aftermarket support, the voltage limitations and the tiny carts have just made it obsolete as far as my usage goes.

If I'm not using the AFS or a cartomizer, I usually have my drip tip installed. I hate the cart refilling thing, and can't keep the carts full long enough to keep me happy. I also hate the waste of the cart not emptying all the way, even with the various filler mods. With a drip tip, essentially all of your liquid turns into vape...

Anyhow, that's my 2 cent ranking.

Good luck.

I started out with a 901 and then went to an Adaptever mod with 510 atty that I love. Then I got a VP2 with 801 and I love that as well. Then I decided I wasted a passthrough so I got the VP PT since I'd had such good luck with the VP2 and I enjoy it just as much, plus vaping at 5 volts is great. Finally I ordered a Joye Stick and within 2 weeks I had to order a 2nd one because I was so happy using it. Right now, I'm mostly using the Sticks because they are so easy to use and are light weight and small. I have very small hands and if I want they can pretty much be completely hidden in my hand. I love being able to use them as a passthrough while charging them and being able to unplug and go. I survived being stuck for 4 days at the hospital with just the 2 Sticks when my hubby had to be helicoptered to UVA (2 hours from home) for repair of an Aortic Dissection. I had no trouble with them, didn't have to do anything but top off occasionally and just plugged them into the wall plug in his room (with an outlet to USB adapter) to use while I was there and that way they were totally charged when I had to leave his room for a while. They worked so well that they added no stress to a very stressful situation and really saved my sanity. They work with an 801 atty or with the 302 atties that come with them. Plus you can get adapters to use 510 or 901 atties with them as well. I ordered mine from DomesticVapor.com and they had a great price and absolutely wonderful customer service. I also really like the Menthol liquid I got from them.

I have a Green Smoke Ecig. So far I like it alot. I have had it over a month. The Vanilla, chocolate, and coffee are my favorite flavors by them. The only gripe I have is the battery runs out fairly quick, and takes forever to recharge. Luckily you get an extra battery to help make it through the day. I have heard however that the battery life gets worse the longer you have and use it. Good thing for the one year warranty!
