I took a old 21mm 1/2" drive socket, banged in a old KTS mech top(with a couple wraps of duct tape so its tight) that has kinda tired threads and I got a heavier stand to build on that doesn't knock over easily and a couple inches off the table.

I use an Ohm's reader primarily for stability and since I was going to get a coilmaster kit anyway. It does suit my purposes though, since you can do everything one place including test firing the mod and watching for leaks before transferring it to the mod.

I have a fine motor tremor though. As others have noted (especially if you have a lot of practice building) you can do it right on the mod, or on whatever other surface you desire, and then just check it on the mod.

I love my ohm's reader, I've done about everything you can do to it except catch it on fire (yet). If it does die, I'm out like what, $12 compared to whatever mod I would otherwise be leaking/dripping juice all over etc. (I have a fine motor tremor). Although, I just did get my kayfun Prime clone up and running on my first try! A personal best.... :)

WOW $40 for a wooden doorknob with a 510 connector?!?!

Buy any sort of 510 connector and mount it in a scrap chuck of 2x4 = done on the cheap. If you really want you can stain it to make it look better. Note: you don't even need a "real" 510 connector. You can use replacement EVOD/ARO bases that you can pick up super cheap.
That's EXACTLY what I do. Lol I have been collecting 510's from broken devices.[emoji106]

YOU CAN FLIP THE 510 AND IT TURNS INTO A MOD YOU CAN VAPE OFF OF?!?!?!?!?!?!? That is amazing, can you adjust the wattage you vape at and how does it vape?? How would you rate it as a mod?
EDIT:just watched a review and apparently it Vapes at 50 watts non-adjustable.

Watts are not adjustable, but it ramps up pretty fast.

Okay, I love the so organized that they would say THAT was disorganized. I am going to have to clean off my "vaping table" man, because we're going to be eating on it. My closet is organized, my vape table not so much. Oh well, it could do with a good cleaning, and my son's dog is a cigarette addict, I feel bad if she finds a drop of e-liquid somewhere, and starts licking it frantically.... I'm pretty sure she will be coming to Superbowl #whatever.

    Not a hashtag.

Yes, yes they do. Mine will even use the pull tab portion of those milk caps for the same purpose.

Our two little girls (matrons by now in kitty years, I guess) rate those pull-off loops from gallon jugs as #3 on their ranking of Best Kitty Toys. They seem to like the red ones best.

#2 are drinking straws. Preferably the bendy kind.

#1, without any doubt, are 3"x3" PostIt notes, crunched up into appropriately small (marble sized) balls. Blue is the preferred color. It doesn't seem to make much difference what is written on them.

I feel it important to note the relative expense of these toys. After many decades of cat ownership (i.e., being owned by cats) it is my firm conclusion that the attractiveness of any cat toy is inversely proportional to their cost.

This can probably relate in some fashion to the inevitability of buying a large toy for your young-uns for birthday or Christmas and enjoying watching them play with the box it came in for the rest of the day.

    :)

    Neat looking gizmo.

The ability to use it as a temp mod box, though, tends to reinforce my inclination to use one of my mod boxes to build and test. Those I can set to the wattage I prefer to use as part of the test.

I haven't had any problem building on the boxes, although most of the time I just put everything together on a sheet of white paper (to help find errant pieces of clipped wire) and then install on the box.

What I'd like is a way to test the coils themselves before I use them in a build. I have a VOM which I use without any problem for everything else I try it on, but I never seem to be able to get a good reading on a coil all by itself.

Not that it matters all that much, since it would change once I trim the coil after the build, at which point the best thing to do is just to stick it on the mod box, but it still irks me a little bit that I can't make it work.
