Got this one from fasttech a year ago. Thought I was the bees knees then. Used it for a while then the switch broke. Replaced it and it works again. However there comes a stage that its not used anymore. Really not necessary IMHO. A small stand and a good mod to check the watts is adequate enough.
My CM 521 tab mini v2 melted when I fired it. The 510 turned freely when I tried to unscrew my Anarchist Riot from it, because the plastic was higher than the 510 connector. Heat killed it. Coilmaster was great though, after I sent them pics of the melted area. They sent me a replacement immediately- a 521 tab Elite!

My build/ mixing station. I have a CM tab plus aka my Roomba mod, but most of my build are done on the reulaux gen 3. And, before anybody comments, I do not care if the shelves are crooked!

Sorry couldn't resist.

Seriously not a bad work space. Is that a scale to the left of the printer?
I heard it all before in the shineyitis group for a WEEK!

The scale is on the other side, not clearly visible. The thing you can see is a magnetic mixer/ hot plate.

Tacking on a build tip for the broke/thrifty/tight.
If you have to use your kitchen table or counters for building or mixing juice,
find an old rubber 'backseat' car floormat, preferably in a light neutral color.
Has just enough of a 'well' to prevent small spills from overflowing, and protects the counter, and rolls up fairly compact.

I just mix on a stainless steel mixing tray, any spills are easily washed away after use. I'll admit I sometimes use stainless steel mixing funnels too. But, I'm not massively fearful of nicotine period (at the strengths I use, obviously) and I do just as good a job washing everything up as I would you know, after baking, so I don't see the harm.

It's a good idea though, if you want something dedicated to mixing.

The 521 Mini V2 that came with the Coil Master DIY Kit V3:

Seems perfect for mounting coils to me, and the Ohm readout and firing features make it so convenient. I like the kit, though I added a small set of Stanley "precision screwdrivers" and these:

That little folding scissor that comes in the kit seems downright hazardous when pushing it back down to compact size, I darn near speared a finger, lol.

I just like something anti-skid, and relatively flat. Any port in a storm, as they say. I just had it laying around. Someone said they were using a tarp or somesuch. Seemed a bother. This is easier:)

I use PIG mat, it’s absorbent and prevents spills from getting away. Also, I mix inside my scales bowl on my silicone build mat.

Are these a sewing store item? They look like a good one for wick trims! Seems like it would put my hand at a less awkward angle than scissors. I have seen the youtube gurus fumbling with scissors, and I have big hands and arthritic digits!

That just looks like an accidental bris waiting to happen. Wear two pairs of undies when you work with that thing.

Won't help. A steel cup is the way to go. Those are scissors I definitely wouldn't run with.

I've been lucky with my CM 521 v1 tab. Still working just fine almost two years now. It felt a bit superfluous when I first got it, but it's been a real handy item to have.

They are. They are made for trimming the little pieces of thread sticking out after sewing.
