Did I really get a fixed switch? It got pretty warm and the supporting collapsed. I've written 101vapes but 2 questions while I wait. It was a 1.3 ohm atty and it works fine on other mods.

Is there a mod for the #20 to use something solid (bolt) instead of the spring?

Can somebody point me to or post pics of breaking down the switch? Mine doesn't look like the pics I'm seeing in the segelei thread. Sorry don't have camera available right now

Looks to me like the only Fix was to the locking mechanism.

That said, if you are Vaping at 1.3 ohms, it should not have given you a problem. Did you thoroughly clean everything before starting use?

I Have 2 of the original #20's, do not use them below 1.2ohm and have no problems.
First thing I did was read every inch of the mod for resistance changes. Had to remove Both 510 brass connections and wire wheel(dremmel) the top threading And Brass Threading. This corrected a poor attachment conductivity point.(super high ground resistance)
Also scuffed the Bottom Spring seat and replaces the spring in both.

Often heat in switch can be attributed to light contact(lazy finger) or dirty/coated contact points.

If you want better performance at a reasonable price - look at a Sigelei 8w or a Nemesis clone(HCigar) Both are excellent and affordable.

Glad you posted this, I like the looks of that mech and at first I wanted one, but then I saw it's innards, and didn't like the firing mechanism at all. For sub-ohm vaping that's just not going to work for me. The Sigelei 24 has a better one, it uses a brass cone that comes down between two brass screws that come in from each end making contact with them to complete the circuit, but it's not ideal either. That spring in the 20 really put me off. Sigelei could have come up with a much better firing button mechanism than that.

Thanks again crxess!! As you know the replacement switch that 101vape sent me and replacing the spring with a silver bullet spring did the trick. This thing rocks!! Love the form factor. Smaller than the 24. Just looked at the 8w. And read a lot of good about it but don't like bottom buttons

Thanks again!

Yup I like the 24 a lot too! Wish I could soften the button for my wife though.

And I'm wondering if the lock ring can be removed on the 20??? Or if it stabilizes the button. Now I can far apart the original one I got and find out.

The only sub ohm I do is on a dripper at home on a EHPRO EA clone.
