Hey folks...selector ring was sticking in both directions...hmmm, ok, that's odd. Magically, one day, no more sticking, but alas, the selector ring doesn't modify any settings. I can assume there is some type of selector switch that the ring operates on and that is no longer connected (maybe oversimplifying).

Anyone have this experience? If so, anyone fix it?

So was you selector ring moving smoothly but not working with the interface? My ring moves smoothly now but doesn't engage any menu settings.

Fired from my phone cannon across your brain-bow.

Mine is new. No problem. But i have seen this from others. The ring gets dirty and loos the contact. Just take out the battery and give a bath with alcohol will evaporate without damaging the mod. Just leave it dry overnight and maybe blow with are dryer. Thats just something easo start with

I have a similar problem. Out of the blue my evic ring just stopped causing any sort of movement on the screen. There was no sticking or anything it just stopped working. I'm really frustrated, this is an expensive piece of electronics and I loved it while it worked. Any tips?

All of which can be Blown out and easily air dried. eVic would hold liquid in state for a considerable time with no way to get air past all the chips and no circulation inside the Plastic tube.
Before you day evaporates, How long to evaporate liquid in the bottle with the cap off?
Now, how long for Liquid to start leaching into the circuit board and switch parts. Any lubricant in switches? Bye-bye.

Ok good point on the lubricant if any on the evic wich i doubt. The alcohol will desolve and clean any pg vg residue that may have being leak inside, if is in a bath the disolved will get out and alcohol will evaporate very quick and a hair dryer will help even more. if you just put alcohol with a qtip and dont washed away after alcohol evaporated any residue will stay inside.

But its ok everybody have their own technics. My advise is if you dont feel good doint this just dont do it. I wont push anyone to do it but i have done this with lots of electronic gadget,

My son once drop his cellphone inside a toilet,, wakalaaa. I just remove the battery and sumerge in alcohol shaking rinsing and sumerge again few times. Then i blow the exess with a hair dryer and leave 1 day sumerge in a bowl of rice.. The phone still working one year later.

Does anybody have any safe suggestions on how I should troubleshoot/fix this? Or if there's a way I could contact Joytech about it? I filled out a form on their site and have heard nothing in reply.

You do realize it is the weekend right? Joytech answered my last email in about 4 work hours.
