Selector ring seems to be sticking

Has anybody had this problem?
One minute it's fine then the next it seems to drag and feels like it's sticking and doesn't want to spring back to the centre position

Maybe a little juice, or dirty?

Remove battery/tube before bedtime. Soak a Q-tip in alcohol and apply liberally around ring. (soak it well) Work the ring several times to get the alcohol penetrating. Set on paper towels over night to dry.

This happened to me, it would stick to the right side. I took the battery tube off, grabbed a baby wipe and squeezed a couple of drops between the ring and the screen. twisted the ring back and forth a few times and let it air-dry, now its good as new.

I have yet to see this happen to mine personally. A friend's started it, but he uses at work where it can get dirty easily.

When his started, he thought it was broken. But after I took a close look and played around with it, I took some 90% Isopropyl alcohol and cleaned it up. Problem was solved.

Give that a shot.

Oh if would be much nicer to have a video on how to solve this...
I do think it would lessen the risk spoiling the selector ring instead of fixing the selector ring

Wasn't this the one in the near fatal Scooter accident?

Try using some switch cleaning lubricant and gently moving the dial backwards and forwards.
I've seen this on a few Evics now but it tends to be fixable.
