I am trying to save some $ and punching/piercing my own dual cartos for my tank. I use a saddle press and it does the trick but maybe 50% of the time I get the dreaded e1 error and it wont work. Yet, I can use the same punched carto on my kgo and it works like a champ. Is the provari too sensitive to changes maybe? Anyone else seeing this happen-any suggestions other than paying the higher price to have them punched at the factory? Now that I have some tanks and really like them I hope the problem can be fixed. Too spoiled from the tank to go back to the old way.

I am close to end of 2nd month using ProVari exclusively w/ MAP Tank and either 2.5ohm or 3ohm SmokeTech dual coils.. running at aprox. 10watts. The only tool I use to punch cartos is the 1/4" saddle valve.

After experimenting with 1 hole vs. 2 holes.. and controlling size of holes by cranking valve even further, after the initial "click" by either a HALF turn or FULL turn...
My comfort spot is 2 of the smallest holes I can make, on each side of carto,, using 70/30 pg/vg. No leaks, other than occasional drop on center post. Also, never have seen an error on ProVari.

I'm curious as to the reason for E1 error?
Hot atty? Low resistant error?
Strange, since tanks tend to keep atties pretty damp, till they run dry.

This probably hasn't helped, but this is what has worked for me. Alternating 3 tanks for coffee, 'bacco and fruity flavors.

Ive been using Vaporflexion cartomator tanks for quite some time now, and I've been single cutting my dc carto's....i started off doing dual cuts, but as Cuseguy mentions in his video's....it causes the filler tube to collapse for some reason. mine would still last a week or 2, but inevitably they would completely collapse full of juice, leaking all over the place, and end up with tons of it in my mouth lol......single cutting them with a small hole, usually twice to 3 times the size of the original carto's punched hole, has been working fine for me.....atm have one thats lasted over 2 months (and a few cleanings to boot) with no failures yet...

Not using any lr cartos. Just 2.0 dual coils from smoketech. I ordered a 2.5 dual coil from cov and its doing great. I have been punching the 2.0 with the saddle punch. Weird.

Are you useing LR cartos?Try turning the volts down till it fires,Punching holes in cartos won't make the provari show error codes

If that ain't it,--Then I got nuthin, unless its drawing more amps than the provari's amp limit allows or the connector is shorting
Oh well,it was worth a shot
