First, a little history of myself. I've been vaping consistently since April of this year. vaping has allowed me to quit smoking cigarettes after 10 years of doing so. Now I'm ready to take my vaping to the next level per se. I've been mainly vaping Kanger Protanks on a fixed voltage eGo battery. I change out the coil in the Protank every week or so and toss the old one. I have no experience building coils.

I'm looking to purchase the following items from Fasttech.com. This website was recommended to me due to their prices. I'm open to other vendors if they are a better deal or worth spending more money on.

IGO-L Rebuildable Stainless Steel Dripping Atomizer or Magma Style Rebuildable Dripping Atomizer

Nemesis Style Mechanical Mod

UltraFire 18350 3.7V 1200mAh Rechargeable Li-ion Batteries (2-Pack)

Nitecore I2 Lithium Li-ion Ni-MH Ni-Cd Smart Battery Charger

BEST VC830L Digital Multimeter

With all of these, I'll have my RDA, mod, batteries, battery charger, and multimeter. If I've done my research right, I have everything I need besides wiring and wicks. What do you guys think of all these items for a beginner mech user. Am I on the right track?

Also, I have one more question regarding the mod. Are the 2 pieces circled in red interchangeable? Would I would use one or the other depending on the battery size I decide to use?

I'm want to purchase all my items from a single vendor to make it easier. Looking forward to hearing your recommendations.

Good luck with FastTech, I ordered stuff from them on 10-13-14 and it has not yet arrived....

Never again, yeah the prices are great, but I can usually get very close to their prices on ebay and get it MUCH faster.

And it looks like the Nemesis mod pictured has all the extensions for two or three batteries and a kik, I have one and mine did.

Thanks for the input, I'll probably check out eBay and other options. Definitely don't mind paying more to purchase from a US seller.

Would I need a multimeter if I bought something like this? iSmoka eLeaf Digital Ohmmeter and Voltmeter - - Amazon.com

This video really helped me out for any newbies deciding to get into RDAs.

Nemesis always gets a +1 from me.

Stay away from Ultrafire.

You may want to add a 510 ohmmeter, and some kanthal if you haven't already.

The only thing I ever ordered from FT was a 10-pk of Nemesis magnet washers. It came about a week later, and it was 2 10-packs.
Maybe because they were stuck together and they couldn't pry them apart. :)

What's a decent battery you'd recommend, do you think it's best to just go for top of the line right away? Also what kind of kanthal do you recommend for a good balance of TH and flavor.

Wouldn't really need the meter, and most multimeters aren't accurate for sub ohm applications. The type of meter would be a mili-ohm meter and they are not cheap. The little digital ones work fine for this stuff and the one I picked up for less than 15 bucks is pretty darn accurate.

TH is more of a juice preference. Higher PG for more TH.
Stick with kanthal A1. The other type (D I think?) offers no advantages to a normal vaper.
For batts, the usual IMR batts from LG, AW, Efest, Sony if you can find any, and certain Panasonics are all good. I have a couple MNKE's that perform well for cheap, but I think they're lower capacity than all my other 18650's.

I agree, but they can come in handy for troubleshooting cheap knockoff clones and transforming them into something that puts overpriced authentics to shame. Nothing more satisfying that paying a tenth what a snob would for an authentic, give it a little TLC and applying some mechanical know-how, and end up with even better performance.
