I am sure that this has been answered numerous times. However, I unfortunately don't have a lot of time to scour the threads. So, any input would be so very appreciated!

Long story short: I vaped 3 years ago with an eGo and a cartomizer and even the BluCig. Went back to analogs mostly due to dehydration issues....and cravings. Every few years, I get an urge to quit smoking. This is one of those years. I bought a Halo Triton starter kit in February. It apparently wasn't enough for me because I still bought cigs. It just didn't satisfy me. I don't know if it's the battery or clearomizers. My understanding is that no other products will fit and vice versa, correct? I thought maybe more power would help, so I bought a MVP 2.0 from E Cigarette Supplies and Premium e liquid | Vaper In The Wild because of reviews and price. Although it's a bit bulky for me and I'm not that fond of the box shape, I think it'll do. (Still wishing I would've bought a penstyle vv/vw for discreetness.) My problem is finding a clearomizer, tank, WHATEVER the lingo is, that I like. I have an iClear 30 that came with it and bought a few Kanger T3S to use, also. I really don't seem to like either of them. I'm sure it's my inexperience, but I caved and bought another pack of cigs today.

So, my question is - what advice can you give me about what to purchase next? I'd prefer to go semi-cheap, but if I have to spend the money to FINALLY quit analogs, then I'll do it. I know vaping is NOT the same as smoking, but I want it to feel as close as possible. I need to add a very important part - I am a female, single parent with a fulltime job. I don't have time nor a man around to teach me about wicking, building, whatever it is that some require. I want something that I have not mentioned above that requires the littlest care possible, BUT that, combined with the MVP 2.0, with keep me off these dadgum cigarettes! I don't really care for metal tips, either.

All help is welcomed! I'm sorry if I'm slow to responding. As I stated earlier, I don't have much time to be on here. Thanks again!

I'm not really a fan of clearomizers. They are nice for novices when they begin vaping because they are easy to fill, but they can mute many flavors and be inconsistant.

I'd suggest a nice cartotank. They have been my go-to juice attachment for nearly 2 years. Excellent flavor, consistant results, no leaking of e-liquid, and very little maintanance. Priming the carto takes five minutes at first setup, thereafter refilling the tank takes 1 minute. Cartos will last 1 - 3 weeks and need to be replaced with a new one. Cartos are typically $2 each. An IBTanked cartotank can cost $25 and should last months on end.

I don't like the mouth piece on the i30. It's just preference, really. Nothing is really wrong with the Kanger. I'm just wondering if there's something out there with a more satisfying vape. I'm just not getting "satisfied" and with all the raves on the MVP 2.0, it leads me to think it's my "juice holders"....whatever I may be using at the time. lol

Thanks for the response!

You may want to try vaping a higher nicotine as well.

As far as cartos and tanks go, I personally find them underwhelming. You may want to try the carto without the tank first, so you don't have so much invested if you don't like them. Some people swear by them, and some of us swear at them. :D

The MVP 2 is more than enough power. When you first make the switch, it's hard to find the perfect substitute. Seems you need a better atomizer. Without the time to build your own setup, it's kind of tough to tailor that EXACT vape you're looking for imho. "Rebuildables" are the way to ultimately get what you want but aren't an option for everyone, especially starters.

I have a feeling by "satisfying" you mean that you are missing the "throat hit" from your vape? Simply described, it's that feeling of heat or "sting" that tobacco smoke lends to the back of your throat. There are ways to increase TH, and certain atomizers do offer better results than others. Perhaps you're looking for a tighter draw? More like an analog, less airy?

More specific info yields more specific solutions.

An Atomizer turns the liquid to vapor. A Cartomizer (Boge 510, HH.357) is a cartridge and an Atomizer. Most have a wicking medium to hold liquid, while some are "bridgeless" and have no wick. Bridgeless Cartos are for dripping juice directly.

A Cartomizer Tank or "Tank" is the atomizer packed inside a larger supply of juice. Most use replaceable atomizer heads. A "Clearomizer" is a term given to tanks with plastic surrounds where you can see the juice inside. Some are also called "Glassomizer" if made from Pyrex glass. The iClear 30 is a Clearomizer/Cartomizer Tank. It can really get daunting because there are a lot of options out there.

I've had success when first starting out with the iClear16 and Vision X.Jet Spider tanks. Good draw, vapor, flavor, and TH. The Aspire Vivi Nova BDC is another great tank, and comes with a larger juice capacity also.

Yes. Throat hit, lung fullness feeling, etc. I understand that VG can be better for that, also, but is that worse for coils, etc? I like a warmer, heavier vape. The draw is not as important as the feeling I'm looking for INSIDE of my body. I hope that makes sense...

I know for me throat hit has more to do with juice, unless I'm using an ego battery, then there are other factors.

What nic mg are you using? I started out at 24. Now I use 12 during that day and 6 at night. I can't feel 6 at all early in the day so I use 12. After dinner, 12 gets to be a bit much so I drop down to 6. Funny how in the evening 6 feels just as strong as the 12 did earlier in the day, but I can't feel it at all in the morning.

Hey Bean! You have plenty of gear to kick the habit.

So many smokers feel this way when crossing over to e-cigs. Keep in mind YOU WILL NOT get the same nicotine rush when vaping as you do with tobacco. You might get 1/4 or 1/3rd of what you're used to. (Your body won't absorb the nicotine as fast as it did because it's in heavy vapor now).

It was already mentioned... up your nic levels and vape until you're done (time and circumstances permitting of course).

No, no. (PG Propylene Glycol) is contributing to throat hit more than VG (Vegetable Glycerin). PG is also what carries the bulk of flavor in the juice. The biggest provider of TH is Nicotine though. Sounds like you might need to start at 24mg juice. That should be more than enough, and the highest mg/mL level MOST vendors will sell. I started at 16mg/mL. My GF started with 24mg/mL, both with the iTaste VV and iClear16 tanks. Everyone's different.

Hi what kind of juice are You using.. Brand,pg/vg, nicotine.
How much did you smoke? How often, how many a day
Are you doing lung hits? You'll get more th

You may want to pick up a dripping atomizer and some higher nic for those times when you need more to keep you from smoking. Cartos are the most hands off toppers. Good flavor and ease of use. If it starts to taste bad just change it. The higher potency vapes come from rebuildables.. A hh357 or bridgeless dripping atomizer can give you a strong powerful hit like advanced rebuildables.

You mentioned you got dried out before. You probably had pg juice. Vg is much less drying. I use full vg but 50/50 is a good compromise.

I pull into my mouth and then inhale, so I don't think it's lung hits. When I first started years ago, I went nuts on juice and bought all kinds of yumminess! lol I enjoyed the taste so much that I was vaping nonstop, it seemed like. I don't want to do that this time, so I'm limiting myself to just a few flavors. Now, though, I feel like I'm doing it nonstop again because I can't get that satisfaction I'm looking for. I vape a coffee one in the morning that is 24mg and then I switch to 18mg Tribeca, both from Halo. Not sure of the pg/vg ratio as it's not on the bottle. I smoke about a pack daily of Marlboro Lights. I was hoping 18mg would be enough. I'm scared to vape anything over that all day long because I get headaches when I feel like I've overdone it.

I really need opinions on something (other than the ones I mentioned) that I can just fill multiple times, not have to clean or do much repairs and replace when needed. I'm a real dummy on this stuff, but I want to quit smoking so bad!

For me, headaches happened at first because I wasn't getting enough nicotine. And I never understood somebody smoking "lights". Seemed like a waste of money to me for the amount of nic they deliver. :D

I don't know what to tell you. I guess you need some other reason to stop the analogs because whatever motivation you have now it's not enough. I made a simple choice... vape inside where it's warm or sit in the garage at 5 below. :).

You can still vape AND smoke you know. Just get a plan to start cutting back on the cigarettes.

Evod tanks. They're cheap, the replacement heads are cheap (you can find them anywhere) and they last a long time.

Oh, and I've tried dripping on my first try with vaping. Not for me.
I've found a dripper to be handy and very economical when testing a dozen different juice samples. If you can manage to wind a coil (just maybe once), then all you need to do after that is merely thread in a new tiny shred of cotton ball when changing flavors. Takes about 15 seconds between juices. I used to go through $1 cartomizers like there was no tomorrow until this.

Really you need to find what motivates you or something that keeps your mind off of cigs. For me the tinkering and overall geek factor of everything helped immensely. Gave me something to learn and tinker with while still giving me the nic. It can be as simple as you want or more complex. I have quick simple fill and go setups for work and more complex setups for home. I just ordered my first mech today that opens up more geeky goodness for me.

Bottom line find what works for you. It doesn't have to be any more complicated than you want it to be.
