Im new to ECF and I currently own a V2, the newer one with 4.2 volts. its works great but the cartos are very pricey for how i vape,
so im am considering buying an ego tank/clone, or getting a clearomizer/fluxomizer for my v2 with ejuice. would it be
worth me buying a whole ego t kit or should i just find a good clearomizer/fluxomizer ,maybe LR, for my V2.
does anyone know which is better or have any suggestions???

I'd buy an eGo, but buy some cartomizers just in case you don't like the tank. Some people have a lot of trouble using the eGo tanks, so if you have some cartomizers handy you'll save yourself a lot of frustration.

Buy some Clearo and Fluxers just to give them a whirl, too. I tried the Clearos, but really didn't like them. I'm using Dual Coils and a Liquinator 3ml tank and that has turned out to be one of the best purchases for me. You can use those on an eGo, but I wouldn't use the DCC's on a V2. They'll eat a small battery alive.

That sounds like a good idea, ive always been confused about voltage. even tho my v2 is smaller it says its 4.2 volts and egos are 3.7 so even tho the V2 battery doesnt last as long does it vape stronger and faster because its higher voltage? ive always wondered this.

The reason your V2 doesn't last as long is because of mAh, not voltage. I think the V2 is 180mAh and the eGo is 650mAh. 100mAh is approximately 1 hour of run time, so 650mAh will last about 6-7 hours. Of course, this also depends on what kind of hardware you're using; LR and Dual Coils are going to decrease it somewhat because they need more power to work, but it usually isn't a huge difference.

V2 may say that they're 4.2V, but once you start using them the voltage is going to go down because they're under load. Anything low resistance will eat these batteries alive and may even destroy them.

So the ego's arent as good as the box mods..? but if voltage is the same on both, does that mean that performance on both is the same, except the box mods last longer because of more batteries in them. in another words, Voltage= performance and OHMS =Battery LIfe what i mean is a small battery with the same 3.7 voltage would give the same vapor and TH as an ego with 3.7 and a box mod with 3.7, the differences would be that the ego would have more battery life and box mod would have even more than that. RIGHT???????

If you're going to use cartos I'd go with a Riva or a KGo. The eGo will only give you 3.2-3.4 volts. The Riva will run at 3.7 volts. The CE2 Clearomizers/Fluxomizers are pretty nice if you're willing to mod them a bit:

OK, bigger batterys(egos and box mods) are more consistent under load and respond better to MODs because there voltage doesnt decrease under load like small V2s? that would make sense but correct me if im wrong.. :))

The eGo is a regulated battery. While the battery is 3.7 volts, it is regulated to only deliver 3.2 volts. It will, however maintain the 3.2 volts until it is discharged. Some mods, such as ePower, will deliver regulated 3.7 volts throughout the life of the battery. Other batteries, like the Riva, are unregulated. The Riva battery will start out providing around 4 volts when freshly charged and it will drop off from there until the battery is discharged. I can always tell when my Riva is about to need re-charging because the performance will drop.

The advantages of the big batteries, IMO, is their capacity (will last longer) and their ability to provide more current under load (allow you to use LR atty/cartos).

I've been buying Riva's from Liberty Flights. They have reasonable prices, good customer service and fast shipping. Of the 4 batteries bought from them one failed and it was promptly replaced -they paid shipping both ways on the replacement.

Im a little confused, when i look up the kit it says it includes 5 blank cartridges and the atomizers but are those the tank atomizers, because i really want ones that dont have the cotton filling that u can just take off the cap and fill.

Which kit are you looking at? The Riva's at Liberty Flights do not come with tanks. They are regular atomizers with fillered carts. Their carto kits also come with fillered cartomizers. The Ego-T kits are the only thing they carry with tanks.

Im glad to be sending my v2 back either way. My husband found a different way to fill the cartos that seems to keep us from having to fill them ALL the time but i bought him a cheapo from myvaporstore for 30 bucks and it lasts LONGER than my V2. Im going to order the tanks as well as some dual coil carts just to test both methods and see what I like best. There is a large learning curve with vaping but ill take the curve ALL day : )
