Hey all...I have been about a 1/2-1 PAD smoker since I was about 16 years old. I am now 32...so I smoked for 16 years. I had my last analog on December 6th. I started vaping November 23rd and have had no ill effects so far from it.

I have noticed that lately when exposed to second hand analog smoke...even very distantly I get a tightening of my chest, slight nausea, and shortness of breath. Nothing too concerning (I am a student nurse so I do know some clinical signs of distress) but really odd. I never had any big issues when smoking analogs so I am wondering if perhaps b/c my body is starting to detox itself from the numerous chemicals in analogs it is rejecting those chemicals or if it is psychological.

I work at a restaurant that has a drive through and customer will be smoking when they go through (something I never did as a smoker- I consider it rude) and it gives me these symptoms. Very short term...I recover pretty quickly after they go away.

Has anyone experienced strange sensitivities like this when exposed to second hand smoke? Just curious. :)

I think it is normal to feel more sensitive towards analogs smoke after you've quit on analogs. I'm beginning to avoid going into the smoking room at my office if there are too many smokers at one time, so I'm vaping/stealth vaping more at my cubicle. I find it choking in there when there are too many smokers around and I'm not even a month free of analogs. Now we know what non-smokers feel; and I feel that to be a horrible finding. Smoking do affect others, strongly...

I know I feel really bad. But I vow to never be one of thoes people who purposefully walk into someone's smoke and do that awful fake cough thing.
