so i started on a "21 century" kit, and after a while it isnt performing as it should, so i switched to "Logic"

upon the initial purchase, the battery was fully charged right out the package, lasted 2 and a half days before recharge. the charger has led indicators and suprizingly it went green after a 1 and a half hour charge. knowing it wasn't full i left it on for another hour. used my E-cig for about 12 hours and then it died again. i put it on the charger and its ben charging for 4 hours now, and it hasnt turned green yet.

the battery was completly dead before my first charge, and again completely dead before this charge. the difference in time before the "green light indicator" is making me suspicious. what do you guys think? the website for this brand says not to charge it over 4 hours. and its ben 4 hours on charge and hasnt switched, as compared to my first charge that was 2 and a half hours with the light green on one and a half hours.

please and thank you for any responce

thanks for the input. i do plan on buying a high end kit once i get a job. cutting neighborhood grass, this is all i could afford atm. uhm i do have another question. seing as this battery or charger is crap, and after watching some videos, i descided to gut this and make a usb passthru. my question is, is 1amp too high for vaping? ive heard storries of people over cooking their cartomizers and what not. i have a phone charger rated at 5v and 1 amp. just want to make sure so im not wasting these carts even more then the crap battey life just did. edit: im unable to return it because it was bought at 7-11

Oh geez... I just looked at their web site. That is re-branded China low ball stuff. $22.99 for five pre-filled cartos!? C'mon... And as per typical five of those things = 1 carton. Hey, they said it - not me. Not even 5 packs. Maybe a little more than 5 cigarettes.

I got nuttin'. It could be your charger. Or it could be the battery. We might be able to point you at a compatible charger but... Really risking throwing bad money after bad. Sorry.

i just need to know if 1amps too high. i figure most people arent using a phone charger to power a usb passthru, more rather a computer. im not completly technilogicaly savy so idk what my laptop puts out as far as amps, but im opting to use the phone charger. im sorry if im frustrating anyone. i feel quite stupid when it comes to this...

Old saying on ECF: "The more it looks like a cigarette, the worse it vapes." Must agree with this pearl, and agree with the previous posts.
Yup...I went thru two of those "stick" type e cigs...the Totally Wicked Titan Tanks their customer support was FREEKING EXELLENT when the batteries went kaput on me (after 2 days of use!!! ), I decided to upgrade to the Tornado RCS kits and those batteries are literally 3x the ones inside of those teeny stick e-cigs...go with a big honkering chonker e-cig if you want a work horse!

Looking at these big ole bad boys makes me want to buy a "pare" if ya know what I mean

Laptop and computer outputs are limited to 500mA or 1/2 amp

It's not just amps - it's voltage too. That is a very low power battery in those kits. Probably 3.2 volts is all that's being put on those cartos in your kit from that battery. Go any higher than that and you will most likely burn the cartos.
If you run 5v, 3ohm cartos seem to be the norm (from what I was reading online)

    Oh yeah...this helps too

ok. thats what i was looking for. the charger with the kit is output 5v but i understand the concept of what your saying. thanks for the input.

Hmm, a usb passthru?! I assume you are removing the battery, correct? Because if you don't, you will likely have a serious, painful, safety issue in short order.

Without the battery, you are using the power supply (phone charger) by itself. Ohms law - you'll find an online calculator here. You need to input 2 variables and the calculator will calculate the rest.

If you input 5 volts and your coil (cartomizer, atomizer, etc) resistance, say 2 ohms, the circuit will draw 2.5 amps which is 12.5 watts. 12.5 watts is pretty high.

Try 3 ohms at 5 v and you get 1.67 amps and 8.3 watts. A much better starting point for vaping. You can see though that you need a power supply which can handle at least 1.67 amps. Any less than that and it will fry.

Stay safe. If you don't know that what you are doing is safe, ask here and someone will help out. Best of luck with it!

I was looking online at those "super capacitors" that have like 1 farad or more, was thinking about putting in a 100+ohm resistor to allow it to trickle charge the capacitor, then when you hit the button it runs thru the coil heating it up
Some of those supercapacitors have enough farad capacity they mimick AA batteries!!!

idk what ohms the logic carts are. like i said, i feel stupid when it comes to this, im sorry if im frustrating anyone. pretty much from the passthru mod, i didnt add resistors or any fancy stuff, i cut a usb cable and lined the appropriate red and black power down the empty ecig shell. i only took one test puff and it works but i dont want to continue if its going to fry the cart.
