O.K I have recent posts about this Vivi Nova tank I bought recently and I really need some definitive answers on how to make it work properly,So I can stop asking about it.It is the only thing I have right now to vape with and thought it would be the end of my vaping problems...

I don't even know if this Tank is even supposed to do what I want, and thats constant vap without getting flavor and vap loss problems.. is this common?? Or should I just deal with it??am I expecting to much. All I want is a proper vape and to get on with my life.

It seems obvious that when Its been sitting all night the wicks get very saturated and therefor my first 10 to 20 drags are full of flavor and awesome clouds of vape,But can I keep this magic going?? No. Its also obvious that the juice is not saturating the wicks fast enough for some of my chain vaping and I get tasteless vap.If I let it sit for 15 min the wicks saturate, and presto!!! Flavor.

It is a new 1.8 head and it is new juice 70% Vg 30% Pg,On an Ego Twist,But it even happened on a 2.4 with 100%Vg.Is the Vivi Nova hard to wick on anything over 30% Vg.If so then I will not go above 30%from now on.

Are the wicks too long as they are a little above the bottom threads if they are, I will cut them,But how much?

I don't want to have to learn to recoil as of yet as I am a new and just want to make due with what I already have. Not ready for that now.

I have to narrow the problem down to the high VG or the wicks possibly being to long,I can't see it being anything else but.. Older juice in the bottom of the tank will work better than fresh juice from the bottle filling back up to the 2.80 ml point, assuming the older juice has heated up wicks better and will taste sweeter,Causing a quick steeping effect.

If anyone can answer some of my questions I would deeply appreciate it,I have had some great comments so far on older posts but its seems to be a wicking issue caused by juice or wick length,I'm pretty sure, based on it sitting all night and great vape in the morning then it fading out.But I don't know.Just want to nip this once and for all,But all comments are appreciated. Thanks!!

definately your vg is too high. i have one juice that is all vg and its tough to vape in the vivi. try a couple of things - shake your juice vigorously before filling your tank. It will loosen the vg and make it easier to vape. add a couple of drops of water or alcohol. warm the juice by placing it in a cup of very hot water for 10 minutes.

also high vg gunks of the heads faster. try cleaning the head every tank or so.

70/30 ratio in your juice will help. also, in between draws, swirl the tank around a bit and let the juice soak back into the wick. try easier and slower draws, sometimes drawing too hard will burn the juice faster than the wicks can keep up. i'm not an expert on attys or trimming wicks, so i will let someone else comment on that.

Ok,I might have a solution for you. Get a couple more batteries and a few more Nova's. I like to have several different flavors going at the same time. My glass that I keep my PV's in is starting to look like a flower boquet!! LOL Or you only like one juice, fill up a few tanks with the same juice. When one starts giving you not enough satisfaction, swap it out and let them soak up juices while you aren't using it.

I wonder if I have never experienced what you are going through because I do have several sitting and I keep changing flavors. Just a suggestion.

I hope things work out for you.

I have tried putting a drop or two of distilled water in there but it dosen't fix it for me,seems to make it worse. But I never tried warming it.

I've noticed that the common thread on vivi nova wicking posts is high vg. Unless you are allergic to pg I would suggest limiting your vg to a 70pg/30vg mix. Also imo a few drops of water won't help. To get your 70% vg down far enough to help you would need to add around 30% water which will kill your flavor and nic level. It won't help much right now but I suggest you order some more juice and in the meanwhile be sure to hold your ecig horizontal and twist frequently to promote better wicking. It may sound silly but it really does help. Good luck!

Yep. Thin it.

Also, as a double check....make sure the little silicone cap is on the proper way. The flat side of the inside spacer goes down toward the coil the concave side points up toward the drip tip.

Also, try (as an experiment) not screwing the top cap on tightly...you want it tight enough to be fairly airtight but not so much that it squishes the silicone cap thing onto the stem/wicks and squishes the wicks. Warning...leak danger if you lay it down or do the tip/roll.

You are tipping it yes?

EDIT: What Darksyde said while I was typing slow.. ;)

Unbelievable it works better,More vapor than before and better pull.Is this the same on all Vivi's?How do I fix this without doing this??

Sometimes the silicone sleeve pinches off the wick area, not allowing it to wick. I should have said that I notch both sides of the sleeve, and adjust it by turning to block off or open it up a bit. Too much and you can get gurgles. I've found a nice zone where I do not have the worry about it any more.

Do all novas react to this,I now have a more draw than before adjusting the top cap.But it still resorts back to no flavor and a little less vapor,Nice to have a better draw though.

Go with ckone's suggestion of trimming a bit off the sleeve and/or notching it. You might even trim a fraction of a mm off the silicone with a utility razor blade or some such. Not too much. Just enough to take the squeeze off. Then you can put the cap on tight enough. If you trim too much it will leak/flood. Also make sure the metal washer is properly centered in the sleeve (there's kind of a ridge/notch it fits into).

IMO...The other problem you're having is what everyone has said so far...juice too thick. A couple of drops of water will help. Too much and it won't vape well and gets "steamy".

Also, the draw is air flow. So if you're getting more air, try backing it off the PV (unscrewing it) very slightly...so it still makes contact but lets more air in. See the air holes in the bottom threads? Some have even dremmeled a notch in the flat bottom so it gets more air.

Thanks Atty pops for the cap suggestion it makes a big difference,I don't think I will mess with the silicone cap just yet as I tend to ruin some things Trying. But it looks good as far as the center metal washer is centered correct and pushed down.Do you have an opinion on the shortening of the wick?? No one ever says how short to trim.
