Seven Eleven display cigs are different from actual on line "kits?"

Hi ,

A little confused. 7 11 and other stores have displays of what look like small cig packs and cost like US$7.99. Are those one time things (use it up, toss it) or parts that are for or could be used in a kit such as those available on line? One said to effect "good for 500 puffs...." but I have no idea if that means after 500 or so, trow away- or, if it could mean "after 500 or so, re fill it yourself."

Thanks in advance to anyone who can explain!

Welcome to the forum!

They will kinda sorta give you a rough idea of what vaping is all about. I don't know specifically what 7-11 carries, but probably a disposable of sorts.

It's not a very cost effective way to go about vaping. When you hear a pv is good for 500 puffs, that's pretty much nonsense. Even if true, what does that really mean? You could try one out to get a rough idea how you feel about vaping, but it's not going to give a good indication. First, the batteries aren't very good. Second, usually the flavors are pretty bad.

If your interested in finding an inexpensive setup to give vaping a try, I'm sure the members here can help you find something you'd like.

Hi Cake, the over the counter disposables are not really all that good, but better than smoking cigs. For a very little initial expense you can start vaping and update over time if you feel the need. The 500 puff thing is kind of a joke, for not much more money you can get 1000's of puffs and hopefully kick the analogs. Since you have taken the first step by joining the forum, let us know what you might have as a goal and the good people of the forum will happily give advice.

Welcome! More than likely, what you see for $7.99 are disposables. Those puff counts can be way off based on a whole bunch of factors. If they were somewhat accurate, that would be around 2 packs... YMMV

For around $40 you could get a good ego/clearo start-up kit and good month's worth of juices.

Loads of info here on ECF, don't hesitate to ask. :)

Most likely an Njoy King, thats what got me started, and I got my first one at 7-11. That was about two months ago, haven't had an analog since. I thought it was so awesome, but now I know better, two months later and I have an eVic and a Tesla, both with Vivi Nova, a SMOK telescope with an AGA-T+, and Friday I am getting an iTaste MVP, this stuff is just as addicting as analogs, but a lot more fun.

Or could be Krave.. I bought about 6 of those to help during the transition for the wife and I. Not too bad, had better, had worse..

If they are Krave, you can get a charger for them. I refilled the cartridges several times with my own juice.

If nothing else, it's a start.

Thank you all for the info. One silly question- what does analog mean when discussing e cigs? Example, being what I now are disposables at 7-11 does this mean analog vs, digital (and how would they be different)?

Thanks!

The term analog is sort of missapplied, but it's used to mean a regular tobacco cigarette.

Analog is just the term used around here for a regular cigarette you smoke.

    Welcome to the forum, Cake.
As others have allready said, "analog" are tobaco sigaretts. Also known as "stinkies", "cansersticks" and "coffin-nails" (hopefully I'm not butchering the speling too badly)

Another term you'll com across is "cig-alikes", meaning personal vaporizers designed to look lile "real" cigaretts. Every kind of disposable e-cig I've ever come across falls into this category.

The disposable ones at 7-11 are ejoy and blu i think. looks like they sell pretty quickly. is vaping in general growing?

It's growing by leaps and bounds, millions now doing it. Well unless the FDA shuts us all down soon with the nazi style anti smoking attitude they seem to have. But it's looking more and more like they won't, but it's politics not safety that is the deciding factor so who knows.

I would second trying out an ego based cig from a retailer or online, much much better experience as far as I am concerned. Of course I may be biased, nobody even sells the 401 ecigs I started on they were so bad they gone extinct.

Hi Cake, vaping is becoming a more and more common alternative to smoking. I would say it is borderline exploding not just growing. Vaping stores are popping up nationally. If you are comfortable with the 7-11 e-cigs that is fine. Most would applaud anything that keeps you off the analogs. The over the counter 7-11 e-cigs would be very expensive to use over the long run. You would do well to educate yourself on some of the other less expensive options.
