66% Yes — vaping is a safe alternative to smoking.
23% Yes — E-cigarettes allow for health improvement for smokers.
8% No — And I don’t want a vaping lounge in my neighborhood, either.
3% No — No one should want to fill his or her lungs with bubble-gum-flavored smoke.
Total votes so far: 734

Please cast your vote.

Sorry for posting on Media and General News thread instead of the Legislative News thread, but more people will see it (and vote) on this thread.

Voted. Yes is only 88% now. I can't see the vote count though.
66% Yes -- Vaping is a safer alternative to smoking
22% Yes -- E-cigs allow for health improvement for smokers
8% No -- And I don't want a vaping lounge in my neighborhood either
4% No -- No one should want to fill their lungs with bubble-gum flavored smoke

Because, yeah, smoke.

That just shows that 4% of the poll voters should go back to high school.
And 8% of the poll voters should mind their own business.

DC,
Bill had the total # of votes in the OP (734). That's the part I couldn't see, sorry I wasn't clear.
I was just wondering how many votes have been cast since then. Sometimes I vote in these types of polls but don't post that I did it..

Voted!....I think this poll shows that what they are trying to cram down our throats is not what the general public is clamoring for!

We should vote in these polls, but keep in mind that just because something has public support does not make it right. For example, not even 50 years ago a public poll would've shown overwhelming support for segregation and denying basic rights to minorities - that doesn't mean it was the right thing to do.

Living in California, where the $68-billion-dollar-a-year union-run education cabal has utterly failed us, and where nobody minds their own business (EVER) lest you not understand how their rights trump yours, I'm actually surprised the numbers are this low.

Oh, and I voted too. :) Thanks for sharing Bill.

I really don't understand how the Lottery has not done anything to fix the education system.
That's a lot of freaking money they are getting there.

Not meaning to derail the thread, but the lottery money was given to the schools in lieu of general fund money, so they could spend that money on other 'deeply needed' things (which didn't involve filling any potholes or fixing our aging freeway system). In essence, the schools got the same, just from a different source.

Plus, a few hundred million dollars against a $68 BILLION dollar budget is a pittance that barely pays for one teacher's pension.

Sorry, the past few weeks have been very disheartening in vaping advocacy and news, which has me in a cantankerous mood...but then...

Da bubble gum haters is going down!

...this cracks me up!
