I'm thinking these people need to be educated. We've got the new petition that Dr. Nietzkin just submitted to the FDA (I hope you guys have taken an interest in that) to be the fuel behind a movement.

Here's what I'm thinking....perhaps an offer to sit, and explain, what is all about the PV - an intro and an offer sent with an attachment to the Nietzkin materials.

Thoughts?

I'm currently working on a computer that only has internet access and no other programs on it, so I wasn't able to open any of the .pdf files to read the additional pages at this time.

Just so I understand (without reading the report), are you suggesting we request a meeting with Smoke Free Wisc. and educate them on PVs and how their endorsement of them would be beneficial to their publically declared cause?

If that's it, count me in! I would like to think it's their ignorance of the subject that has created the stand they have taken and not their greed of the almighty green.......

If I'm off base, you can probably still count me in! LOL I LOVE these things and anything I can do to help promote it makes my day!

Isn't SF funded by J&J? They are now trying to BAN "Smokeless" products despite the fact that they are SMOKEFREE!!!! I don't see this idea working at all

Oh Heaven's no, it won't work.
But sometimes it's just fun sitting in a room with closed minded people whos voice goes up another 1/2 octive every time they state their talking points (too lazy to form an opinion for themselves), while we're calm, cool and collected, politely educating them & basically telling them their theories are crap (if I see one more commercial that states "product NOT FDA approved, yet no one is going after them, I'm going to BLOW!).
If nothing else, I pray that when the time comes along, someone will remember the conversation and recommend them to a loved one who needs a PV as a matter of life of death.

As for the Snus suit....what a lonely existance it must be to wake up perpetually offended every day. Don't these people realize that if we don't stop protecting people from themselves, there will never be enough handicap parking spaces at the mall 'cause we'll all be living over 100!!

Hmmm.... how interesting that most of the smoking secession plans they ALL encourage, suggest such things as NIC gum and patches while you break your hand to mouth fixation during the quitting process. Has any one even thought break hand to mouth: Snus. Step 2 - break oral with gum. Step 3 - break another oral with patch....

yes; preaching to the chior but I'm in a mood and it's either this or I have to pelt my neighbors house with snow balls

I hear ya. But to 'these' people - if it looks like a duck, etc. / if the vapor LOOKS like smoke OMG!!!!!!!!

Yes, the are hard-core anti.......they've been convinced (brainwashed) that PV's are an invention of BT to hook children (at least, that seems to be the theme in their blog) into a lifelong slavery to tobacco addiction.

I've no rosy colored glasses here, I do realize that we won't change the 'public' stance all at once. But by sitting, and talking, to people who've done nothing but spout the spoon-fed propaganda they're fed, if we can instill a measure of doubt in their individual minds, then we might be able to let THAT seed sprout. I guess what I'm saying is SFW more than likely hasn't done any research, or gotten the 'other side of the story.' and in this case, ignorance is NOT bliss.
