Very cool.

I picked one of these up and have gotten a lot of use out of it. At 125° for an hour it really speed steeps liquids, or at least gets them going :)

Magnetic Stirrer + Lab Hot Plate in one

The temp control is a little bit of a PITA but I have it dialed in pretty well now.

Can you give any comparative analysis of juice from normal steeping and using your super cool machine? Does it steep faster?

Some of the liquids that would normally steep a couple weeks I heat/stir and get into them the next day and they are very tasty. Of course they continue to steep and improve. The most noticeable was my Peppermint bark which was terrible for the first couple weeks. The last batch got the stir and heat and was pretty damn good the next day.

Has anyone ever used one of these fancy shaker machines to mix their ejuice? Does steeping need to be in a still state or could you leave your juice on a shaker machine like this for days at a time to steep?

SCILOGEX SK-L180-E Analog Linear Shaker

Seems like a lot of money to invest just to steep juice. There are far cheaper ways to steep that will produce great results. Read my blog on steeping.

I use one and swear by it.
I've never made a juice that wasn't at 95% plus of being completely steeped after my process.
I do 45 minutes in UC at 145 degrees and 90 minutes in shaker.
I make lots of creamy bakery style juices that are infamous for requiring longer steep times. The shaker works magic.

I use this:
Knox Handheld Milk Frother - Walmart.com

In combination with this:
Ultrasonic Cleaner - 2.5 Liter

and a plastic beaker.

Juice in beaker, beaker in ultrasonic, 3 cycles of 8 minutes with heat, use frother every few minutes while juice is in ultrasonic.

It all depends on the juice. Some juices are ready right away, some need time. Some need breathing in combination with steeping.

Those are the only things I use. I just froth the mix up, cover the beaker with paper towel and let it stand till all the bubbles dissipate, usually a couple of hours and then bottle. High flavour juices are practically ready to do though I might let them rest for a couple of days to a week.

My thought exactly. At those prices might as well buy the ejuice.
Well, let's do some math.
At $400 for the shaker, that comes out to around 26 bottles of purchased ejuice at $15 per bottle.
If you vape 10ml per day, a bottle will last 3 days.
The cost of the shaker therefore will be the cost of about 78 days worth of ejuice.
That hardly falls into a "might as well buy the ejuice" category IMHO. But, to each their own, right?

I think when steeping- especially tobacco flavors, nothing beats a few weeks in a dark drawer or closet
some juices, like my Inawera fruits, lets say strawberry I just shake and vape with no steep. If I add cream though then I steep my fruits.
I think it all comes down to what juice your making.
I would like a fancy machine- just not in my budget, I would rather save my $$$ for a new box mode or other toy
that is just me though
:)

I built my own magnetic stirrer with a comp fan, hardrive magnet and a plastic box I've kicked around for years. Works great and I don't have to worry about carpal tunnel from shaking. I do think warming up the vg/pg base with hot tap water and using the mixer does shorten steep time a bit, not by much but enough. Its as mesmerizing watching the bubbles move around in the mix as watching a campfire burn.
