Thank you xpete for offering your insight. It is not often we get to hear things directly from someone working on the other side. It is refreshing and interesting. I do hope you continue to participate on this forum and offer these perspectives. We all have our opinions of how things should be done (and many even know or suspect how things truly work), but it's not often we have someone working on that end to provide such valuable info. Thanks. :)

Thanks Thulium, Larcat, and VelvetVisions - understanding Government and what moves it is the first step to creating social change. That is exactly what moved some of the greatest social changes in our country. The question is, how do we move forward?

To create the groundswell we need takes time. I'm willing to move but I don't know how. I'm new to the forum, new to vaping, and I want to continue vaping - I feel great now that I haven't smoked for days. It's great to sit at my desk and vape without having to go out in the heat. And boy did my dinner taste good last night. :)

How do we get the forum involved? Who do we talk with? What is the first step?

Pete

We need to exploit the population of Vapers.

There are people on this forum who are elderly. There are people on this forum with *serious* health problems associated with smoking.

There are people in both of the above populations who have tried to quit in every way imaginable, and were unable, but have begun vaping and it has let them IMMEDIATELY FEEL BETTER.

Not be healthier in a proveable way, but FEEL better.

Grandmama saying that the E-Cig has let her walk up the stairs without pausing at the landing to catch her breath will do more than a thousand people preaching about how much they love their root-beer flavored vape.

Those are the people we need willing to come forward and bring the emotion.

Then the doctors et. al. can chime in.

Just my 2 cents.

There is an existing database of such stories: http://www.thepetitionsite.com/1/keep-life-saving-electronic-cigarettes-available

Let's use them. I'm willing to write some press releases, drawing from these stories.
