I use a DSE-801 primarily for the large cartridge size and larger batteries.
I wanted to share how I get the best use from the DSE801. If you have suggestions I'm all ears.

1st I carry a straightened out paper clip around and when filling I fill almost to the top than push in hard on the filling to get all the air out than I fluff it out almost to the top. Drip some more drops in and compress fluff out again.

Seems that the High Bridge Atty has a tendency to smoosh the foam too tightly so if you don't fluff out than the juice doesn't absorb into the foam and you won't get much life from a refill.

The second trick I learned is so elemental but is saving tons of money and time. It turns out that if on a daily basis you take the foam out of the cartridge wash with water and than dry out with Kleenex or toilet paper that renews the cartridge foam. I'm going on the 3rd day with the same cartridge!!. It's just amazing how after a quick wash with water the cartridge filler turns white and fluffy!!

Hi Tom, If you take your paperclip and slide it into the cart down the side, then lean it towards the middle and fill by dripping down the clip, it will fill from the bottom up and you get no air bubbles in the cart as they are pushed up and out.

I wash mine too, got one I'm using for 5 weeks now. Once in a while I "pick" at the end of the cart material with my syringe to fluff up a little, helps wicking.

You will have to replace eventually. I get the polyester batting, the rolled sheet for quilt making, at Wal-Mart for $4 for a life time supply. Cut in a small strip and fold. Works great.

I use the 801 as well, except mine is attached to the Janty Stick.

As far as refilling use one of these:

It is called a needle tip oiler and works like a charm for filling carts.

You can get them here: 3 pack Precision Oiler - Needle Tip Oiler Bottle 1/2 oz - eBay (item 350189096492 end time Aug-08-09 07:47:32 PDT)

On my dse801 cartridges, I use a metal spring out of an ink pen, to keep the filler inside the cart from shrinking down, so it holds liquid longer and better. I just stretch out the spring, and cut it to size, then screw it counter-clock-wise into the filler as far as I can and trim it, or just split the filler down the middle and wrap it around the spring, both ways work. I can usually get 3 out of one spring. Works great and not only does it keep the filler from shrinking down, there's no more electronic taste I was getting. I noticed everytime I got that electronic burning taste, the filler was shrunken down, and I was continually having to fix it and topping it off constantly. My husband came up with this idea and I've been trying it out in my carts for about a week now, and it works great!!

Anther thing I do, is I take a sharp pointed knife, and insert it into the mouthpiece of a new cartridge, and twirl it around in a circle about 20 times or so, in both directions and so it rounds out the hole and you get more vapor.

Also, I found if you wrap your index finger around the opening of your lips to block air, when you take a draw, you can get more of a throat hit, more vapor and it helps me, when I'm really wanting a smoke and this seems to satisfy that urge/craving better, so I'm not constantly drawing on it trying to get a fix. Lol.
