Here is a more recent post, but if ya wanna know about storing nic and such, just check out Kurts post history. He is our resident chemist and imo, brilliant :D

As for the shelf life of VG and PG....that is for straight pg/vg with nothing added. I don't know if adding nic to it lengthens the shelf life or not, but in the post I linked above, Kurt talks about some 4 year old stash in VG ;) HTH

Nicotine date is 10/13/2009.
Freezer temp approx 5F.
60mg in PG unflavored.
Vendor is myfreedomsmokes.
Glass bottles.
Minimal air cap in bottles.
Doesn't freeze but does get thicker.
Still clear.
Still smells good.
I vape unflavored most of the time and it still tastes clean and fresh.
Still strong.
Personal max strength tolerance CE2 throat hit at 12 mg.
Personal max strength tolerance single coil rba TH at 10mg.
Personal max strength tolerance dual coil rba TH at even lower mg.

Perfect in every way I can tell after 4 years storage.

Good Update
Mine was not stored so good

Nicotine date is sometime in late 2009
Back cabinet temp unknown, but Florida, so not cold
48mg in PG unflavored
Vender Nhaler
Plastic bottle
Air in bottle as I had used some
Not frozen
Amber color, but I think it was when I got it, but that was a LONG time ago
Smells like the fresh stuff I have gotten
I add flavor, but very little, but seems fine
Still get my nic when I cut it to 24mg
Won't say Perfect in every way, but no problems.

Fast Forward, I NO LONGER DO THIS. My Nic is IN THE FREEZER...
But this old bottle IMHO is not bad and I am vaping it as I type. I agree that it is best to store it properly, but it does not go bad as quick as some think. Just like expiration dates on other products, they are really best sell by dates, not it has gone bad by this date.

My Nhaler 48mg PG was bought 8-17-2009 and kept in plastic bottles in freezer for about one year. I did notice it had a slight tint but it tasted good and produced proper throat hit.

I was surprised that a couple ml of room temp nic in near empty bottle still had plenty of kick after roughly 3 years. Too bad I didn't see color or mix it accurately.
