I tried ecigs a few years back (let's say 3-4) and bought a bunch of liquid/mixing stuff. Well I tried a friends ecig the other day and just ordered one. I have a couple questions.

How long would the eliquid and its counterparts (pv, pg,etc) keep for? I kept most of it, because I knew is be back.

I ordered some liquid from them just to be safe, but thought I'd ask anyway!

Pv/pg should last for several months to a year or longer when stored in a sealed container at room temp. Nic juice in pg or pv base will last for a year or longer in the freezer. There is much debate about how long it will last at room temp and if you open it regularly. Oxygen breaks it down from what I understand. I keep enough nic juice for a few months out of the freezer an d freeze the rest of it. As for flavored juices, I really don't know but the flavor changes the longer you keep it and as I understand it, you shouldn't freeze it. I have some a few months old and I think it is still good.

First response seems low - most have said 2 years on flavors. Flavoring may last longer(un-mixed)
For longest Nic life only mix as needed, only keep out enough for a month or 2 of DIY. Always allow to reach room Temp before opening.
Keep Excess Nic in freezer - It does not freeze at freezer temps.

It's JackieSHOES but when I created the name I was too innocent to see the alt wording possibility but left it because nobody really has that user name so I use everywhere. I was wondering when someone would say something...but, no. I used my last bottle of Dekang DK-Tab last August - that was the last one from a huge order back in May of 2009, so some 39 months.

Juice was stored at room temperature in the basement boxed (no light exposure) and I didn't notice any changes in taste and color.

YMMV.

if I dont have freezer space for say a liter of 100mg nic- and I am scared of the FDA and state bans, could one possibly keep the nic juice in the basement at that large of an amount and be sort of ok?

So just kinda try & see? I was mainly worried about it killing me or causing my hair to turn green or something. Taste wise, if I didn't like it I'd throw it out. Or let someone that might like it have it.

Ill pull it all out this evening and see what I have. It's all been stored in my filing cabinet, so room temp and dark...

I think it is so the pg/vg doesn't absorb oxygen.

Just a note I notice my flavorings change after many months (6-12), my Vanilla Classic now tastes like Vanilla Bourbon for instance.

Man, I'm glad I found this thread. I'm a total noob and have only been vaping less than a week. I did a lot of research and watch a ton of U-tube reviews before I decided to order anything. I decided on a ProVari and ordered a couple of e-juice samplers to try out. But I knew I would want to try mixing my own at some point. That's when I made my rookie mistake. I found a site that sells nic bulk at dirt cheap prices(made in the USA)so why not. Being unfamiliar with metric conversion and way ahead of myself I ordered 1000ml of 100mg PG base. As is typical of me, I then started researching actually producing a useable e-juice. That's when I realized that I would end up with about 5 gallons of 12.5 ml/mg juice. That should take me about 10 yrs. to use. Since I'm 61 and have been a 2 pack a day guy for 50 yrs. I don't think I'll ever need to reorder. LOL

keep it in a cool dark place- I am going to be ordering in bulk and saving it in my basement due to the FDA and state legislation attacking vapers

I really don't think it would be dangerous. I look at it kinda like food.. if it looks good, smells good, and tastes good... It's probably good. If it smells or tastes bad, I would toss it.

I've got even more 100mg than you and have read just about every thread on nic storage on this forum. Based on what people here say, for long term storage, 60-120ml amber bottles in the freezer is the best way to do it. PG is supposed to go bad in 2 years if kept below 40 degrees, but a lot of people here have had nic for 3 or more years kept in the freezer in glass bottles.
